DIABETES YOUTH FOUNDATION of INDIANA

Judith Renwick, who's son David,
was diagnosed at 2 months of age, has made up two
different T-shirts to sell to raise money for the
Diabetes Youth Foundation of Indiana.
They sponsor a camp for diabetic children, a teen bike
trip, family weekends and a Russian exchange program.
If you would like to purchase a T-shirt, please print
out this order form and send
it to Judith. All proceeds will go to
the Diabetes Youth Foundation of Indiana.

The Diabetes Youth Foundation of Indiana, (DYFI), is collecting supplies for Russian children with diabetes. There is a severe lack of testing materials and inadequate amounts of insulin. Dr Wentworth is getting word from the Russian children that things are going from bad to worse. One of the youth says that the insulin supply in her town is "critical". Any help you can provide to those less fortunate than ourselves will be greatly appreciated.

This is an ongoing effort. Supplies are collected YEAR ROUND. Supplies that are needed are:

Insulin - NPH, Regular, & Humalog in bottles or cartridges.
Please be sure insulin is within expiration date.
Syringes and needles
Insulin Pens & needles
Strips - Most of the kids that have been to the US have One Touch or
Profile meters, so those strips are mostly needed. A few have Elites and test strips for those machines are needed too.
Meters - Any type of meter that reads in mmol would be good if it came
with a good sized supply of strips. Meters need not be brand new ones.
Again, please be sure strips are within expiration date.
Lancets and Lancing Devices
Ketodiastix or Ketostix

DYFI also accepts donations to purchase supplies. Since DYFI is a registered charity, monetary donations are tax deductible. (Checks should be made out to Diabetes Youth Foundation of Indiana, or DYFI, with "Russian Kids" noted.)

If you would like to participate, send items to:
