4 years, and about 1000 phone calls, e-mails, and letters later:

"Hello?" Meggie asked, after letting her phone ring 3 times.

"Hi Meg, guess who this is," the voice on the other line said, while trying to diguise his voice.

Meggie smiled, knowing exactly how it was. But, she decided to piss him off, and act as if she didn't know. "Oh my God! Bryce, how are you? I haven't talked to you in sooo long," Meggie said, while smiling, as she heard a irratated grunt.

"Not funny," he said, plainly.

"Oh Nick, I was just playin' around. I knew it was you all along," Meggie confessed, happy to hear from one of her best male friends.

"I knew that, Silly! But, guess what?" Nick said, excitedly.

"What?" Meggie asked, twirling the phone cord around on her finger.

"I thought it was about damn time I actually met one of my best friends, so I am flying you and 3 of your friends down to Florida, so I can finally meet you, in person, with nothing between us!" he said, happily.

"Nick, I do not have the money for that," Meggie said, sighing sadly. She wanted to meet him so badly, but unfortunatly, she just didn't have the cash to go and see him.

"Are you hard of hearing? I said I am flying you and your friends to Florida, meaning I have already paid. You can pick up your tickets tomorrow at the airport, under my name, and then, you will board the plane, get comfortable in your first class seat, and soon enough, we will meet!" he said, his smile shining through in his voice.

"Oh my God, are you serious?" Meggie asked, finally coming to the realisation that her and Nick were going to meet, face to face.

"Completly," he said, thrilled that he had made her happy.

"Oh my. I have to go pack," she said. She had a billion things she had to do, and they all swarmed her mind at once.

"Ok, well, I booked the tickets under my name, but I already told you that. Umm...I'll pick you up at the gate at 11:00. You know what I look like, right?" he asked, wanting to make sure nothing went wrong.

"Duh, I have only seen your pic 1000 times, Superstar," she said, loving to tease him about his superstar status.

"Alrighty then, your plane leaves at 9:00. Gate 16F. I guess I'll be seein' you tomorrow, Babe," he said, as their conversation came to an end.
