"Brian, Brian, Brian," I called throughout his house, after entering. "You told me to be here at 2:30, and now you're ignoring me. Some best friend you are."
"Hey hun. Brian's out back with Nicky-Poo," Brian's girlfriend, Helene said, after I walked into the kitchen.
"Oh God. What the hell is Nick doing here?" I asked, rolling my eyes at the very thought of the annoying blond.
"The poor guy broke up with Taylor, so he's trying to get some sympathy out of Brian. But, I don't think it's working. I keep seeing Nick throw his hands up in frustration," Helene said, opening the fridge and handing me a Pepsi.
"Haha. Dumb blond deserves it," I said, smiling to myself.
"What do you have against that kid anyways?" she wondered, opening her own Pepsi.
"Just the fact that he's an ignorant, stuck-up brat. Other then that, he's just fine," I said, shrugging my shoulders.
She raised her eyebrows at me. "Go bug Brian," she instructed.
I did as I was told, knowing she was mad at me for putting down Nick. She treated him like a little brother, and hated it when the 2 of us fought.
"Yo B-Rok, what's up Shorty?" I asked, as I strolled out back.
"Hey girl," he said, turning around to see me.
~Nick~
I turned around when I heard her voice. Meghan Yates, my worst enemy. I saw her strut her stuff outside, sunglasses propped on top of her head.
She was beautiful, I had to admit that. The thought crossed my mind everytime I saw her. Her long brown hair shined as the sun light hit it, as it hung loosely down her back. Her long legs, which were barely covered due to her short cut offs, were tan, due to the Florida sun. If only she wasn't such a bitch, I wouldn't have to hate her so much.
"I'm here, now what the hell do you want?" she asked, smiling.
"I'm having a BBQ, and you're invited," Bri said, as she sat down with us.
"I see. Why did you make me come so early?" she asked, adjusting her sunglasses.
"Because, I wanted my 2 best friends, and my girlfriend to help me set up. Please, you know how I can't do it by myself. Nick and Helene already agreed to it. We're all counting on you," Brian begged. Boy, did I want to smack him. Who would beg her for anything?
"Oh, so now I'm your maid, huh? I'm insulted. All these years I thought I was your best friend, and now I find out your just using me for my cleaning abilities. Thanks Bri. Thanks alot," Meghan said, pouting her perfectly shaped lips.
"Are you through now?" Brian asked, raising his eyebrows. "Anyways, I was hoping you and Nick could hop on down to the store, and pick up food."
~Meghan~
I groaned quietly, knowing I was going to hate myself for agreeing to this. Unfortunatly, Nick heard this and shot me the dirtiest look. Dirty, yet sexy. Then again, everything about him is sexy. It must have been his innocense that attracted me to him. I've always found that sexy. It's such a shame he's so damn annoying.
"So, will you?" Brian asked, impatiently.
"Fine, I need to know what to get though," I said, sighing.
"Nick knows what he's gettin. He's done this before," Brian said.
"Bri, I thought we were gonna talk about me braking up with Taylor," Nick whined.
"Nick, no offense or anything, but I have better things to do...with Helene, if ya catch my drift. We'll talk later, k buddy?" Bri said.
I saw the hurt in Nick's eyes. "Alright," he agreed, softly. "I'll be waiting in the car."
I gave Brian a look of disgust. "What?" he asked, innocently.
"I've always known you to be a great best friend. Start acting like it," I said, leaving him to think about what I just said.
