Falling for Popularity! Chapter 12!
~A week later~Considering the amount of time Nick and I spend together, we rarely ever talked. We had managed to plan a little fun night for the kids though, along with Morgana and Sonny.
It was supposed to storm tonight, so the atmosphere would be perfect. We were planning on sharing ghost stories tonight to get all the kids spooked. Morgana, Sonny, and the kids were coming over at 10:00, an hour after lights out.
~Later that night - 9:30~
"Nick, have you seen my candles?" I asked, walking into the boys room. He was telling the boys that they had to keep quiet tonight, or everyone would get in trouble, especially him and I for letting them stay up late. I had givin' the girls the speech earlier.
"Yep, they're on my bed," he told me, from his position on the floor.
I looked at him strangly. "What are they doing on your bed?" I wondered.
"That's where you threw then when you saw the ant," he said, smirking.
"It wasn't an ant. It was a spider," I said.
"Ok, so it was a spider the size of an ant," he said, as all the boys started giggling.
"Shut up, all of you," I said, smiling. "Anyways, I gotta go get Sonny's lighter. Can you watch the girls for me? Just for a second?"
"Fine," he grumbled, crossing his arms over his chest.
"Thanks, you're a doll," I said, exiting the room.
"Oh, Meg?" Nick called, loudly.
I poked my head into the room. "Yeah?" I asked, raising my eyebrows.
"Be careful. You don't wanna get caught. And, watch out, there's some pretty big bugs out at night," he warned, smiling warmly.
"Thanks, I will," I said, grabbing the flashlight off Nick's night table.
