Falling for Popularity! Chapter 14!

~2 hours later~

Sonny was telling the last story, slowly walking around the room. It was an old story about a murderer getting caught in the rain, and killing a bunch of kids. It was time to put our plan into effect. I cleared my throat to catch Nick's attention. I winked at him, letting him know I had done my job. He nodded and quietly excused himself to go to the bathroom. I was the only one to notice he had left the room.

I knew that he was changing into the costume he had brought with him, hoping to put it to good use. We put 4 creative minds together, and came up with what was going to happen shortly.

I waited a short while, when I heard scratching at the window. All the children gasped, and turned their heads towards the window. "W...what was that?" Jason asked, bravely.

"What was what?" Sonny asked.

"That scratching noise," he said, nervously looking around him.

"I didn't hear anything. Sonny, continue, it was just getting to the good part," Morgana said.

He nodded his head. "The children had arrived earlier that day, as he rubbed his hands together greedily, thinking of what was to come. Later on that night, he was walking through the woods, ready to feed on his pray," Sonny said, pausing for effect, as a light tapping on the window was heard through out the room.

"Now what was that?" Amy screeched, clinging to Morgana's arm for dear life.

Sonny gave her a strange look. "What are you talking about? I didn't hear anything," he said.

"How could you have missed it?" Amy said, looking at Sonny as if he had 3 heads. A banging on the window stopped Sonny from replying. "Ok, what was that?" Janet asked, looking around nervously.

"I have no idea. What do you think it was, Sonny?" Morgana asked, looking over at Sonny.

"I...I really don't think I should say. It might scare the kids," Sonny said, shrugging his shoulders.

"Oh c'mon, tell us. We won't be scared," Mark said, bravely, as all the kids agreed.

"Alright fine. It sounds alot like the noises the man in the story made," he said, as the noise came again, except louder.

"What do we do?" Monica asked, moving away from the window.

"I have no clue. No one has ever escaped from him. He's too powerful," Sonny said, as everyone saw a dark figure appear in the window, as the banging became even louder.

Almost all of the kids started screaming, and huddling together, some with tears in their eyes. "I really don't wanna die," Sarah whined.

The door opened as a figure in a black rain coat appeared in the doorway. All the kids screamed, before it spoke. "Man, it's really raining out there." He took off his coat and hat, revealing Nick.

"Or the noise just could have been Nick," Sonny said, as all the kids looked at him, angry.

I went and got Nick some dry towels, hearing the kids screaming death threats towards Sonny, as well as Nick. "Here," I said, handing him the towels.

"Thanks," he said, shaking his head so his hair would dry out a bit.
