The Black Dragons of Riverdale Prep! Chapter 2!

At Shayna’s House...

Shayna was on the phone with Jeff, her boyfriend. They were in the middle of a very heated argument. It was apparent that Shayna was very mad.

"I know you like her Jeff! Don’t lie to me! I saw you flirting with her this morning! All of Riverdale Prep knows you like her!" Shayna yelled through the phone. She just kept shaking her head. She couldn’t believe him!

"Man Shayna, what is up with you?" Jeff yelled back. Yes, maybe he did like Cindy the school flirt, but what’s wrong with that?

"What’s up with me?! It’s more like what’s up with you!?"

"All right, fine. You want the truth? I do like her. Happy now?" Shayna fell to the floor. *What? He does like her! I can’t believe it!*

"WHAT?!"

"You heard it, I like Cindy MORE than you!" Shayna was shocked, but she felt that she already knew it. Actually, she wasn’t all too surprised, but she felt anger rush up and down her.

'How could you? I thought you loved me?"

"Well I guess you thought wrong then."

"Well ya know what? Forget you! Go chase after that girl and see if I care at all!!!" With that, she slammed the phone down. She was upset about breaking up with Jeff, but she also felt happy in a way...

At Alli and Jeff’s house...

Alli had heard yelling coming from her brother’s bedroom. What was wrong? She went over to his door across the hallway and heard the last bit of conversation.

"Well I guess you thought wrong then," he yelled into the phone, then she heard him slam the phone down. She knocked quietly and he yelled at her to go away. *It must have been Shayna, or something about her.* Alli thought to herself. She went into her room and picked up the phone. She was about to dial Shayna’s number, but put the phone back down. *No, she needs some time to cool down.* Alli thought. She sat at her desk to try to figure out what happened...

Natalie...

She had just gotten off the phone with Shayna, and she had told her the whole story about Jeff. She wasn’t so shocked about it, she had seen Jeff flirt with Cindy anytime he was out of Shayna’s view. She would have told her, but she didn’t want to hurt Shayna’s feelings. She seemed to have loved him so much, and she didn’t want to mess with their love life. *I guess he didn’t feel the same about her.* Natalie thought to herself. She really wished she had a boyfriend, but they were too much of a hassle and all the good ones were taken, well except for one...

Brooke...

"Hello? Is Shayna there?" Brooke asked over the phone.

"Yes, this is her. Who is speaking?" Shayna replied on the other end.

"Hey girl," Brooke noticed the slight hint of sadness in her friend’s voice, "what’s wrong?"

"Oh well..." And Shayna told her the whole story about Jeff and about Cindy.

"Wow, you all right?"

"Yea, I’ll survive."

"Ya wanna do something to get your mind off him?"

"Sure, wanna call the rest of the girls?"

"Alrighty, let’s call." And they called Lindsey, Natalie, and finally Jackie.

"Hey Jackie. Wanna go to the mall with us? Nat, Raven, and Shayna are going," Brooke asked using Natalie and Lindsey’s nicknames.

"Sure, gonna pick me up?" Jackie asked.

"Yup, see ya in about 10 minutes then?"

"All right bye!" Jackie hung up the phone and Brooke went back to the other line to talk to Shayna.

"She said yea, well I’ll start picking everyone up then."

"Okay, bye." And Shayna hung up the phone and Brooke went to her car and pulled out of her driveway...

Lindsey...

"Man, poor Shayna," Lindsey thought aloud. She felt so sorry for Shayna, but from what Brooke had told her, she didn’t seem to upset about it. She was glad all the gals would go to the mall to get her mind off Jeff. She smiled and started to get ready to go out. Brooke was picking everyone up since she had a big 4-runner, so everyone would fit. She went over to her closet to get a jacket, since it was getting pretty chilly outside. She grabbed her silver and blue Nike wind breaker and went downstairs to wait for Brooke...

Natalie...

She grabbed her blue sweater and waited for Brooke...

Jackie...

Cool, I needed to go to the mall, and it would be fun to hang out with the girls. It’ll defiantly get my mind off of Scott. I looked out my bedroom window and saw Brooke’s car pull up in front of my house. I also noticed the strong wind blowing outside, I guess I better bring a jacket. So without thinking, I grabbed JC’s black leather jacket and slipped it on, then I heard the front door bell ring. I ran downstairs, grabbing my keys and my wallet, and I flung open the door.

Shayna was standing at my door, I smiled. Her face looked a little sadden, and my smile turned into a frown.

"What’s wrong Shayna?" I asked her and she told me the whole story on the way to the car, "Whoa, that’s brutal. You all right?" She nodded her head and gave a slight smile.

"You betcha, now I’ll feel all right when I check out all those hot guys at the mall!" She laughed and we went into the car. I said hi to everyone and we all began to chat. Brooke started the car and we were off to the mall.

When we arrived there, Brooke parked the car and we all got out. A gust of wind blew past us and I pulled the jacket tighter around me. Natalie looked at me.

"When did ya get that jacket?" She asked me. It hit me. I was wearing JC’s jacket!

"It’s not mine," I answered. Lindsey glanced at the jacket.

"Scott’s?" She asked and I shook my head, "then who’s?"

"JC’s, of the Black Dragons," I said quietly. They all gave out gasps and looked at me.

"Black Dragons?" Brooke asked and looked at me. I nodded.

"Yep," I answered.

"How did you get it?" Shayna asked me.

"When I was walking home from school today, they were walking behind me. It was cold so JC gave me his jacket to wear. No biggie.”

"No biggie?! What if Scott finds out?" Natalie exclaimed. I shocked them once again with my next answer.

"I really don’t care what Scott thinks," I whispered quietly.

"What? Why not?" Lindsey looked at me.

"I really don’t know, but I want to break up."

"Why?" Brooke asked me. I told them everything that was inside me as we walked into the mall. I stopped when I saw someone out of the corner of my eye. It was Scott, and the rest of the football team. Jeff was also with them, I also saw Cindy flirting with all of them.

"Oh great!" I yelped and Shayna looked and saw Jeff.

"NO! Why does he have to be here?" Shayna asked aloud.

Shayna...

Shayna felt anger rush up and down her. She wanted to do something to make Jeff mad. She glanced around the area; she was looking for some guy she knew. She was planning to have them walk hand in hand together right in front of Jeff. Shayna was looking for a guy that HATED Jeff, and she found him. Justin Timberlake of the Black Dragons, she went over to him. The rest of the girls followed Shayna (except for Jackie, was just staring at Scott in disbelief).

"Hey Justin, will you do me a favor?" Shayna asked him. He looked at her.

"What kind of favor?" He asked her.

"It has to do with Jeff over there," she said and pointed over to the group of guys. She explained her situation and her plan to him.

"Hmmm, all right. But what do I get?"

"Well, you’ll make Jeff really mad and you’ll humiliate him in front of all his friends and Cindy."

"Okay, sounds good to me." The rest of the guys were talking with the girls. Lance with Natalie, Chris with Lindsey, and Joey with Brooke. JC had walked over to Jackie...

Jackie...

I glared at Scott. How could he be standing there, flirting with Cindy right in front of me? But wait, that’s the whole thing. He doesn’t know that I’m here, that’s why. How often does he do this? I shook the thought when someone tapped me lightly on the shoulder. I spun around to see who it was, it was JC.

"Hey Jackie," he said. He was wearing something different than before. He was wearing army green cargo pants and a hunter green and brown plaid shirt.

"Hi," I replied and remembered the jacket I was wearing. I took it off and handed it to him, "Here’s your jacket back." He pushed it back to me.

"It’s all right, it’s still cold outside."

"Ya sure?" He nodded.

"Yea," then we began to chat a little, we sat down on one of the benches and were in direct vision of Scott...

E-mail Jackie.
