The Player's Way! Chapter 4!
While Nick and BJ were driving home, she noticed the smile plastered on his face. "Ok, Nick, spill it," BJ said."What?" Nick asked, surprised.
"Why the hell are you so happy?" BJ asked.
"Nevermind, Beej," he said.
"No Nick, tell me. It's Meggie, isn't it? Ya likes her, don't cha?" BJ asked.
"Well, a little," he said, trying to hide a smile.
"A little my ass," she said.
"Alright, so I like her alot. I like her craziness, her personality, her looks, everything about her is perfect. She's even smart. But, I've got Sam," he said, sadly remembering his ditzy girlfriend.
"Donna doesn't run your life, ya know?" BJ said. "You could brake up with her."
"Yeah, I know. Oh, well, no sense in braking up with Sam, starting a new relationship with Meggie, and then going on tour in 2 weeks," he said.
"Which reminds me, have you found the other opening act?" BJ asked.
"Nope, not yet. Donna's gonna go flipmode. We might just get a local act as a last resort," he said.
"Oh, 'cause ya know, Meggie has a great voice," BJ hinted.
"Really? We should get her to try out for Don," Nick said, excitedly.
"Yeah, you should. Is Sam going on this tour?" BJ wondered.
"Nope. I kinda told her Donna told us not to bring our girlfriends along with us. I know this is gonna sound mean, but I don't want her with me now," he said.
BJ started laughing. "I'm glad you told her that cause I would have killed her if she came," she said.
"Why can't I have someone like Meggie?" he asked.
"You could," BJ said. "Infact, you could even have Meggie."
"No, I couldn't. She would never go for me, I don't think," he said, trying to concentrate on the road, instead of Meggie.
"Well, would you like me to find out tonight?" BJ asked.
Nick smiled. "Would you?" he asked.
"Of course," she said.
"Thanks Beej," he said.
"No problem," she said, as they walked into the house.
