Secrets and Lies! Chapter 7!
Meggie, and Nick stopped outside of Burger King. Nick slowly leaned in, brushing his lips against hers. "Meg and Brian made it work. So, I'm sure we could too," she said, smiling.A smile spread on Nick's face, as well. "You have no idea how happy I am to hear you say that," he said.
They stepped inside, and stood in line. "What are you getting?" Meggie asked him.
"Uhh, 2 whoppers, a large fry, and a large coke," he said. "What about you?"
"A small coke, I guess," she said.
"That's it?" Nick asked, surprised.
"Yeah, I don't really like Burger King," she said.
"Then why did you come with me?" he asked.
"'Cause you wanted to go," she said, sweetly. "And, besides I'm not that hungry."
"Your sure?" Nick asked.
"Positive," she said. "Now, order your damn food."
They got what they wanted, and sat down at a booth. Nick immediatly started eating.
"Hungry much?" Meggie asked.
"You better believe it," he said. "Have some of my fries."
"No thanks," she said.
Nick had a worried expression on his face. He hardly ever saw her eat, but when she did, it was always something small. "Well, if you do decide you want some, help yourself," he offered.
Meggie nodded her head.
"I'm gonna go get some ketchup," he said, getting up.
"Hey Meggie, where's Nick?" Bri asked, walking up with Meg.
"Getting ketchup," she said, as he took a seat across from her, as Meg went beside him.
Nick came back a few seconds later. "Hey you guys," he said, sitting beside Meggie. She had a depressed expression on her face. "Hey babe, you alright?" Nick asked, concerned. She didn't answer, so he put his arm around her and pulled her close.
Meg looked at her best friend. "Meggie, what's wrong?" she asked, but once again, got no answer.
"I'm gonna take her outside," Nick said, grabbing her hand. "C'mon babe."
"What's wrong?" Nick asked, once they were outside.
