When she was off the phone, she joined Nick. "How'd it go?" he asked, brightly.She ran into his arms and gave him a huge hug.
"I take it it went well," he said, laughing.
"He said, that I could pick who I wanted to be with, as long as he agreed," she said, happily. "I hope you don't mind, but I asked my father if I could stay here for a few days."
"Of course, I don't mind," he said.
She smiled gratefully. "I should be going to sleep now," she said, giving him another hug. "Thank you."
"Anytime sweetie," he said, giving her a light peck on the lips.
She pulled back surprised.
