LFO
Our Dirty Little Secret
This, My friends, Is the only picture I could find on LFO. From the "Official" site.
LFO-or Lyte Funky Ones for those of us in the know. I had never paid much attention to them until just of late, when I read on our message board something about their new song. It had a couple lines that were really off the wall, something about New Kids on the Block. I didn't think anything of it, until this weekend.
We were in Cincinnati, listening to Kiss FM, which plays stuff that our station here in town, WKEE, won't touch with a ten foot pole. Sarah, Dave and I were all sitting in the backseat, and this new song came on, with a really cool beat. So I proceed to "dance" as well as one can in a car, until I hear the Chorus:
New Kids on the Block had a Bunch of Hits
Chinese Food Makes Me Sick
And i think its fly when girls stop by for the summer
I Like girls that wear Abercrombie and Fitch
I'd take her if i had one wish
But she's been gone since that Summer ...
By this time, I was sure it was LFO. I told Sar and she told me to stop dancing because it was a dumb song. So we heard it several times, and every time, we'd pick up another stupid line, which made us want to hear it again and again..to the point where we would leave the radio on just waiting for it to come on.
Then It happened. We broke down..we bought the single...yikes, I know. But if you want a good laugh, you can't beat this song. Click Here To read all the lyrics.
Here are my Favorite parts of the song:
The whole New Kids/Chinese Food thing. What does one thing have to do with the other?
While we are on that subject..only about half the song fits. They just have words to "rhyme" with the other words (and "rhyme" is being used in the most loose sense of the word).
They must have stock in Abercrombie and Fitch, because it is mentioned at least 20 times in the song.
It bothers me the way the song just ends. You are all enjoying the those awesome lyrics, then it just stops.
So anyway, we don't care about the group. I don't think any of them are particuarly attractive> I don't know anything about them, nor do I want to. But it's a very funny song. So there ya go, my thoughts on LFO.
