Was Joey's brother Steve actually in the group before Joey??

ok, i came up with this little theory about joey. for my birthday, i got the ìwe are nsyncî video from europe. i was watching it, and was like, dang joey used to be hot. he looked a lot like his brother back then. thatís when it hit me, joeyís brother steven was oringally in the group, but he didnít want to do all the traveling or something, so they took joey. who would be better, stevenís kid brother who had hung out with them b/c he wanted to be just like his older brother. he already knew the lyrics and the dances, so he was the perfect one. that is why he went from the pic above to the pic below.
