HOPE

I might as well be kind
every time
As much as I can
to every man
As we're all tied to one rope
of human hope
That someday we will see
The Creator who made
you and me

HOPE

When I dream
Let it seem
That up soars my very life
Beyond the reach of any strife
For He has given me freedom to fly
Before my time to die
And up I soar because He is my door
And down below me I see
Circumstances that would have pulled me under
But in this sky where I fly
It's impossible to sink in the mire
Of Satanic stink
For my Lord took my burdens off my back
And held me close, nurturing my pain
Cleansing me, bringing sweet scents to my soul
All because I implored to Him of my sin
And asked Him in
For in His perfect life upon this earth
He gave me the choice of a new birth
It's within
So now tho the story is old
Again
It must be told
For just as I am in this flight
Over the sickness, pains and stench
Of all that used to be in the path I walked
I yearn for you too
To be free and lifted up
In the beauty of His touch
He hung the stars in the sky
But they are not the brightest light
Or the sparkle of His eye
For His glory shines in my soul
As in His spirit I fly
And His promise to me
Is I won't die
