FRIEND

Who stood beside me when I was sad.
Who stood there when I was glad?

Whose smiles were so bright
That when the day was dark
They shown though
brighter than any light.

Who share all that pain
And heartache
Even though there
was nothing to gain.

Who was standing Tall
Along my side
When I thought
I had won it all

I never felt alone
Because my friend was never gone
Never far away
But there to show the way

And when I am laid to rest
Under the dark green grass
When I have finished that test
It will be known as Time passes
That My Friend
Was the Best
