The Roaddogg showed fans why he is worthy of championship gold by beating former Ultimate Fighter and current Intercontinental Champion Ken Shamrock at a punch out, standing over him and taunting him with the teams characteristic crotch chop. Not amused The Big Boss Man avalanched Road Dog, draped him across the middle rope and did a running leap onto his back.
For much of the match Boss Man and Shamrock rotated on the Road Dogg. Finally Badd Ass Billy Gunn blazed into the ring, powerbombing Shamrock and covering him. When the referee attempted to count, Commissioner Michaels pulled the official away, permitting Boss Man to sneak into the ring and clonk Gunn with a night stick.
Gunn shook off the blow and suplexed Shamrock. Even though Shamrock shifted his weight and came down on top, Gunn managed to roll onto his foe and trap him in a three-count to retain the titles.
