In the middle of the back of each side of the court, a cone is set up with a small ball on top. On each end of the half-court line another cone is placed with a small ball on top. Note: this is all set up before the game begins.
Object of the Game:
In coneball the object of the game is to knock over the other team's cone so that the small ball falls off. The other cones on the ends of the half-court line act to get players free from the "out line". Players can get out if they get hit with a ball or if the other team catches the ball thrown by the player before it hits the ground. If you get out you must sit in the out line. You may be rescued if a ball thrown from at least 15 feet away knocks the small ball off the cone, in which you put the ball back up and continue to play.
If one team's cone is knocked over then the other teams gains a point and the losing team must run a lap around the gym. Or if ALL the players on one team get out then that team is the loser of the game. The points are totaled at the end of the specific time limit to determine the winner. Note: if later in the game only one sex of players is left on the team, the players on that team are permitted to use both types of balls.
