WILLIAM ALPHEUS CARAWAN

State of North carolina In the name of God Amen

I Wm. A. CARAWAN of Pamlico County and State aforesaid being in perfect mind and memory Thanks to Allmity God therefore calling to mind the mortality of my boddy and knowing it is appointed for man to die Do make and order this to be my last will and testament that is to say First my Soul to God who gave it My boddy to have a christian burriel again by Providence of God as tuching the Wordly Estate he has blessed me with in this Life Do dispose of the same in maner and form as follows

Vise

First I give and bequeath to my two Sons James T. CARAWAN and Alvin R. CARAWAN all of my Land Estate lying near the Head of Middle prong of Oyster Creek in Pamlico County in aforesaid State the Lands I purchased of J. G. MCGOWAN Begining at a Gum tree LINTONs Corner on West Side of my Westward Leading Ditch Runing South 70 East with due variation allowed so as to Strike the corner on Joshua's Ditch a Stone and dead Black Gum thence with Line of marked trees South 50 East 65 Poles to the Wiley POTTER Land then South 40 West with a line of marked trees Wiley POTTER's line to the corner a Lightwood Stake in the back line of the Patent and Jacob's line thence weswardly with said Jacob's line 70 Poles to Henry EVERETT's North East corner thence Westwardly with Everetts line 45 poles to VOLIVAY or Jessey CARAWAN's line 150 poles to the first Station

The above described lands to be owned by them Equilley

2 Secondly

That James T. CARAWAN pay to his Sister my Daughter Darcas R. LEWIS Fifty Dollars as soon as may be convenient after my decease

3 Thirdly

That Alvin R. CARAWAN pay Nette Adella SPAIN Fifty Dollars as soon as may be convenient after my decease the Conditions in this will is that they pay all of my Just Debts and there sisters

And I leave my Son A. R. CARAWAN Executor to this my last will & testament
