WILL OF POLLY HALL





STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA
HYDE COUNTY


Know all men by these presents that I, Polly HALL of the County & State aforesaid now being in a low state of health but of sound mind & memory blessed be God for the same do make and constitute this my Last Will & Testament in the name of God Amen.

Item 1st: I give my beloving son Zion M. HALL one dollar to be paid him by my Executors after my death.

Item 2nd: I give my beloved Son Benjamin HALL one feather bed which he now has in his possession and also liberty to take the house of the land where he chooses after my death which he now lives in.

Item 3rd: I give my beloving Grand daughter Francis Ann HALL one large red chest.

Item 4th: I give my beloving daughter, Eliza Wallace HALL the plantation whereon I now live with all the improvement thereon & all my household and kitchen furniture as it now stands after all my lawful debts are paid, and my Executors are hereby authorised to sell such property as they may think proper on a credit of six months to pay all the debts which I may owe at my death & to pay for my funeral expenses.

Item 5th: I nominate and appoint my worthy friend Oliver O'NEALE and my daughter Eliza Wallace HALL, my Executors to this my Last Will & Testament this the 26th day of January 1843.

Hyde County Ss May Term 1843

Then was this Last Will & Testament of Polly HALL exhibited in open Court & was duly proven by the oath of Israel BROOKS a subscribing witness thereto & ordered to be recorded, at the same Eliza Wallace HALL one of the Extrs. therein named came into Court & was duly qualified.
