DEEDS OF JESSE HARRIS

Agreeable to the orders of court granted at Germaintown at February Term 1801 for the laying off the widow Elany HARRIS of Jesse HARRIS deceased, the right of dower of lands and also the remainder part of the lands to be devised amongst the several heirs at law of said deceased Jesse HARRIS by direction and assistance of the two sets of Commissioners appointed in the orders of Court for the purpose of laying off and dividing each persons part and portion to be separated and distingushued as in the above plans will make appear.

Viz: The leter A distinguishes the widows part of the first hundred acres, beginning at the beginning of the deed and running 52 poles on the ditch bank, then No. 51 Deg. West 32 poles across the patent plantation then No. 33 1/2 deg. West to the back line including the buildings and containing 33 acres, her right of that part of land. Secondly the leter A (distinguished) or represents the widows right of dower in the square piece or plot containing 33 1/3 acres.

First: No. 1. First deed represents Michage HARRIS part

No. 2 represents Cason HARRIS part

No. 3 represents Joseph HARRIS part and each running 12 1/2 poles on the ditch bank and then No. 40 1/2 West 32 poles across the plantation then No. 33 1/2 West to the back line.

Secondly: 2nd deed containing 100 acres- No. 1 represents Michage HARRIS part- No. 2 represents Cason HARRIS part- No. 3 represents Joseph HARRIS part- each containing 22 1/3 acres- 8th of April 1801.
