WILL OF JOHN JORDAN




To all Christian People, know that I, John JORDAN, of North Carolina in Bath County in Hyde Precinct, Planter, for the fatherly love that I bear unto my elder Daughter Margaret FOREMAN, part of a tract of Land lying in Providence, county and Precinct afsd. on Matchapongo River in a creek called JORDAN's, beginning at a marked Oak standing on the creeks' side running down the creek and with the creek to where the creek divides then across the creek till it comes to a small creek then up to the head of the creek, then Wt. So. Wt. until it intercepts with the Land now in the Possession of John STAFFORD, by estimation 150 acres, by my hand and seal this 29th Day of June 1716.

Daughter Margeret, wife of Jno FOREMAN: I give one shilling. Daughter Mary JORDAN: I give one Shilling. Son John: I give all ye rest of my Estate, real and personal. Loveing Friend John WHITE: I appoint Gardian and trustee to my Son Jno JORDAN until he shal attain the age of twenty one years or recover his perfect Eye sight. Executor: Son John JORDAN.
