Know all Men by these presents that I Michael LINTON of the County of Hyde & State of No. Carolina for and in consideration of the Sum of Sixty Dollars to me in hand paid by Mitchel ROSE of the County & State In Receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge have bargained sold and delivered to the said Mitchel ROSE his heirs and Assigns all my right and Title to the distributive share in a Negro Woman named Bet which said Negro fell to my wife Nancy LINTON late Nancy ROSE by the death of her late husband Edward ROSE Desd. To have and to hold the above bargained Negro Bet to the said Mitchel ROSE I the sd. Michael LINTON Do bind myself to Warrant and ever defend the said ROSE against the Lawful Claim or Claims of myself or any person or all person whatever Claiming by from or under me – Witness my hand & Seal this 22nd Jany 1810
