This agreement made This 18th day of April in the year of our Lord one Thousand Seven hundred and Sixty nine and in the ninth year of Our Majestic Reign George The Third by the Grace of God of Great Brittian France and Ireland defender of the Faith & by and between William SWINDELL living on Arramaskeet Hyde County in the province of North Carolina of the one party and Patrick CAROWAN of the other party in the county and province aforesaid Witnesseth that I the aforesaid William SWINDELL for and in consideration of Twelve pounds Ten shillings Proclamation money The Receipt whereof I the said William SWINDALL doth hold myself satisfied paid and Contented and by these presents acquit and Discharge him the aforesaid Patrick CAROWON his heirs and hath Given Granted alliated, bargained and Sold and Confirmed unto the aforesaid Patrick CAROWAN Clearly discharge him his heirs and afsigns forever to one piece of Land Situated Lying and being in the province and County aforesaid upon the Eastermost side of Wysocking Road beginning at a Sweet gum standing asigh the road and running a Easterly Course to the middle of the said WILLIAMS Line that goes through the Swamp from thence a Southerly course along the said Line to George TURNERs Line that was from thence a westerly course with the said TURNERs Line to Wysocking Road from thence a Northerly course with the Road to the first Station Tree being for fifty acres of Land more or Less The Reversion and Remainder of all and Singular of the aforesaid Granted premises hereby Bargained and Sold inesened intended to be hereby bargained and Sold with their and every right and member and appurtenances whatsoever together with all Houses, orchards Gardings Fences Woods waters high Grounds Surveners marshes and all other appurtenances thereunto belonging unto him the aforesaid Patrick CAROWON his heirs and afsigns forever from him the said William SWINDALL his heirs Executor or afsigns whatsoever Claiming from or under him the aforesaid William SWINDALL his heirs or afsigns or by Will or his knowledge or procurements and further he the said William SWINDALL his heirs and afsigns doth covenant and agree to and with him the aforesaid Patrick CAROWAN his heirs Executors and afsigns forever sell and make over all his right Title and Intrust of the aforesaid peice of Land as is above specified and do warrant and forever defend the source to the said Patrick CAROWON his heirs and afsigns from him the said William SWINDALL his heirs and afsigns forever and that he the said Patrick CAROWON his heirs and afsigns shall forever hold by force and virtue of these presents Lawfully peacebly and quietly have hold use occupy possess and infry Demised and Bargained premises with the appurtenances free and clear freely acquit and discharge of from all and all manner of former or other Gifts Grants Bargins Sails Wills Intails Judgements Executors Incumbrances and Extentes without hindrance let Trouble or Molestation whatsoever from the aforsaid William SWINDALL his heirs and afsigns whatsoever claiming from by or under me in witness whereof I the aforesaid have hereunto Set my hand and affixed my seal this day and date above written
