Hyde County } THIS INDENTURE made this twenty fourth day of August 1801, between Jesse JARVIS of the one part and Green CARROWAN of the other part, both belonging to the County and State aforesaid, WITNESSETH that for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred dollars current money of this state to me in hand paid before the ensealing and delivery of these presents by the said Green CARROWAN the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge myself therewith fully satisfied, contented and paid have this day bargained, sold, convey and confirmed unto the said Green CARROWAN a certain piece of land containing one hundred and two acres on the East side of the Oyster Creek on Swan Quarter beginning at a sassafras and chinqupin post on the ditch, running between James and David JARVISs line the beginning of James JARVIS' deed, then running South to line, then with said James JARVIS' line to my fourteen acre deed, then South forty five poles, then No. 83 deg. East 45 poles, then No. 257 poles to the back line of the patent, then So 51 deg. West 156 poles to Benjamin MASONs line, then with his line So. 65 deg. East 68 poles, then with said line to the ditch, then to the beginning. To have and to hold the said lands and premises hereby granted and sold unto the said Green CARROWAN him and his heirs forever- I the said Jesse JARVIS do for me my heirs, executors, and administrators, assigns or any other person or persons do forever warrant and defend unto the said Green CARROWAN against the claim or claims of any person or persons lying any right or title to the said land and premises. In Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and fixed my seal this day and date above written.

State No. Carolina Hyde County } This Indenture made this 11th day of January in the year of our Lord 1802 Between Green CARROWON of the aforsd. State & County of the one part & Henry WILLIAMSON of the Same State and County of the other part Witnesseth that I the sd. Green CARROWON granted & Sold unto the Said Henry WILLIAMSON his heirs and assigns a Certain peice or parcel of Land lying and being in the County aforsd. on the Et. Side of Swan Quarter Bay Containing Sixty Six & two thirds - Beginning at a Chinkapin post Runing No. As many Poles as will a parallel line with the end line of my Land across to the West Side Line of my land so agreeable to the various Courses of my Land to the Beginning shall include Sixty Six & Two Third Acres to have and to hold with all Privileges thereto belonging and I the sd. Green CARROWON do warrant and forever defend the Said Land free and Clear from me & my heirs Excrs. Admrs. or assigns from all other person or persons whatever Laying any Right or Claim thereunto for the Sum of four hundred Dollars to me in hand paid at Sealing & delivery of these presents. This Indenture made this 18th day of October 1809 Between Green CARROWON of the one part and Reuben BENSTON of the other part Witness that the said Green CARROWON have bargained and Sold unto the said Reubin BENSTON a Certain peice or parcel of Land lying and being on the Et. Side of Swanquarter bay in the County of Hyde Begining at a post at the road runing with the division line between William CARROWON & Job TULEY No. 50 Et. 170 po. to the back line of SMITH’s patent then So. 25 Et. to the Corner of SMITH’s patent then South 40 Wt. to the road thence with the road to the begining to include ninety Acres of Land with all and Singular the privileges thereunto belonging for the Sum of four hundred pounds to me in hand paid before the Sealing and delivery of these presents and I the sd. Green CARROWON do Warrant and Forever defend the said Bargained land from me my heirs Excrs. Admrs. and Assigns and from all other person or persons whatsoever laying any right or Title thereunto unto the said Reubin BENSTON & his heirs and Excrs. Admrs. & Assigns to Cultivate & improve as he or they shall see fitt In Witness hereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this day & year above written

Hyde County } Be it known that we Green CARROWON Hugh JONES Joseph MASTERS Jonathan HARRIS David GIBBS Sen.r Samuel GIBBS & David MURRY Commissioners appointed under the Act of the General Assembly passed at the Last Session entitled and Act appointing Commissioners for fixing upon a Sesctable? place for the public Buildings in Hyde County and for other purposed having pursuantly to the power given unto us by Said Act fixed upon the Land of Riley MURRY Begining at a post Standing in the Side of the Public Road in Hugh JONES Line Runing S.o Nine degrees East fifteen poles of Six tenths thence West Fifteen poles & Six tenths thence North Nine West Fifteen poles & Six tenths and thence to the first Station Containing one and a half Acres of Land being Within two miles of the Lake Landing in Said County as a Site for the Public Buildings of Said County did there upon appoint Benjamin SAUNDERSON William SELBY Reuben BENSON three Respectable Freeholders of Said County who being duly Sworn to assess the Value of the Said Land did make the Valuation is hereunto annexed and by us Returned to the Court of pleas and quarters Sessions of Said County Given under our Signatures this 15th day of May 1821.

This Plan Represents a Lot of Land Laid of by the Commissioners Green CARROWON Hugh JONES Joseph MASTERS Jonathan HARRIS David GIBBS Se.r Samuel GIBBS Se.r & Daniel MURRY for the purpose of Removeing to and placeing the Public Buildings in Hyde County on Mattamuskeet on the South Side of the Lake within two miles of the Lake Landing on the Lands of Riley MURRY's Plantation Runing S.o 9 E.t 15 poles and 6 tenths of a pole to a post then W.t 15 poles & 6 tenths to a post then N.o 9 W.t 15 poles & 6 tenths then to the Begining to include One Acre & a half Acre. Agreeably to and Act of the General Assembly passed and enacted for the above purpose.

By a Scale of 20 poles to the Inch

This Indenture made this 7th day of January 1824 between Green CARROWAN of the one part and Washington CARROWAN of the other part Witnesseth that for the consideration of Three hundred Dollars to me in hand paid before the ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof I have bargained sold conveyed unto the said Washington CARROWAN a certain piece or Land situate and lying in the County of Beaufort & on the south side of Pamptico River and on the rich land beginning at Henry EVERETTs corner running south 17 west sixty poles then south 73 East 135 poles to the patent line, then north 17 East sixty poles, then to the beginning to include fifty acres of Land. To have and to hold free and clear from me, my Heirs, Executors, Administrators or assigns and from all other persons whatsoever laying any right or claim unto the said Washington CARROWAN his Heirs Executors Administrators or Assigns forever. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this day & year above written.
