Isaac METCALF was born April 11, 1780. He married Elizabeth SHEPPARD June 11, 1801 in Nottingham, Chester County, Pennsylvania, the daughter of John SHEPPARD and Mary HUDSON. Isaac METCALF served as a musician and a fifer in Daniel Conner's Company of Ohio Militia, First Regiment in Delong's Command during the War of 1812. He died April 29, 1843 in Kirkwood Township, Belmont County, Ohio and is buried in Salem Methodist Church Cemetery near Sewellsville, Ohio.
