Bethany PAYNE was born July 27, 1784 in Willsboro, Essex County, New York. Bethany PAYNE married Edward DAILEY on March 13, 1811 in Livingston County, New York.

The children of Bethany PAYNE and Edward DAILEY are:

1. Jonathan DAILEY, born April 11, 1813 in Avon, Ontario County, New York. He married (1) Mary WALSMITH, January 6, 1841 in Cuyahoga County, Ohio. He married (2) Mary LAKE, February 20, 1843 in Lorain County, Ohio. He died May 15, 1897.

2. Peter DAILEY, born January 16, 1815 in Auburn, Cayuga County, New York.

3. Jane DAILEY, born February 22, 1816 in Batavia, Genesee County, New York. She married Robert MOON, April 8, 1833 in Lorain County, Ohio.

4. Irene DAILEY, born June 9, 1818 in Richmond, Ontario County, New York. He married Almon C. TUCKER, March 19, 1834 in Lorain County, Ohio.

5. Edward DAILEY, JR., born July 13, 1820 in Monroe Township, Ashtabula County, Ohio. He married Jane FRANKLIN on April 11, 1849 in Cuyahoga County, Ohio.

6. Ebenezer DAILEY, born November 16, 1822 in Kingsville, Ashtabula County, Ohio. He married (1) Mary Ann MCNEIL circa 1848. Next he married (2) Rosetta GRISWOLD. He died November 6, 1901.

7. Lydia Ann DAILEY, born July 16, 1824 in Kingsville, Ashtabula County, Ohio. She married Henry HILL October 16, 1841 in Lorain County, Ohio.

8. Bethany DAILEY, born August 3, 1826 in Avon, Lorain County, Ohio. She married Ira BRODISH, September 6, 1842 in Lorain County, Ohio.

9. Sarah Jane DAILEY, born April 11, 1829 in Avon, Lorain County, Ohio. She married Charles Nathaniel STORRS about 1845 in Lorain County, Ohio. Sarah Jane STORRS died about 1865 in Lorain County, Ohio.

10. Lemuel DAILEY, born November 24, 1831 in Avon, Lorain County, Ohio. He married Francis J. ANDRUS, April 22, 1855 in Allegan County, Michigan.

11. Almond C. DAILEY, born April 27, 1835 in Avon, Lorain County, Ohio. He married Mary M. JEFFREY January 15, 1861 in Huron County, Ohio. He served two years during the Civil War with Company J, 23rd Ohio Volunteer Infantry. He died February 27, 1913 in Davis, Turner County, South Dakota.
