PERSONAL INFORMATION:
Born in the American city of Juneau, Alaska, Taiyo Asako, or Asa-chan to her friends, is the eldest daughter of Taiyo Hiruno, a meteorolgist, and Taiyo Sakura, a housewife. She grew up speaking both English and Japanese, slowly saving up her money to permantly return to her parent's home in Tokyo, Japan and attend school there. (She and her parents have a summer home right outside the city limits which they visit every-so-often.) Her hard work paid off her seinor year of American high school since she was accepted as an exchange student at Sakura Niwano Junior/Senior High School. While in Japan, she lives with her apperantly well-off aunt and uncle, the Eizouni family, and their daughter Yoruko.
APPEARANCE:
Asako is a very classicaly pretty young woman at the age of seventeen, standing a medium five feet six and a half inches tall and is quite athletically built with a feminine figure. Her hair is a unusual shade of golden yellow at the top that flares out into burnt orange out toward the ends, almost like a sunrise. It hangs down to her hips in a straight curtain of hair with the sides pulled back away from her face. You can almost see fire in her deep lapis lazuli eyes, which are framed by thick lashes. Her skin is actually quite dark for a girl of pure Japanese blood, with an almost olive-to-tan tone to it. She always wears a quiet smile on her face, which can regularly spread into a full-fledged grin. She wears two earrings in each ear, and one in the cartilage of her left ear.
WARDROBE:
Asako always keeps up to date on the latest fashions, so she's hooked on embrodired jeans, capri pants, three-quarter-length shirts, and shirts with small logos or emboridery around the collar with black or brown shoes. Most of her clothes are in bright colors, and metallics are very high on her list right now. Her school uniform is the Sakura High uniform, which is a maroon skirt, white blouse, maroon vest, tie, and blazer with white knee socks and black slide on shoes.
She, like a proper Seiza no Senshi, has a princess gown. Hers is a flowing electric blue sheer organza gown with a tie halter neckline. On her right arm is a wrap-around golden arm band around her bicep with white gloves starting right below her elbow with a gold band around the top. Her left arm is covered by an opera-length (mid-bicep length) white glove with a gold band around the top, and a bracelet of tiny golden pearls around her wrist. A gold ribbon acts as the tie for her neckline, along with a thin golden sash that drops around the hip, and golden ribbon trailing around the flowing hemline. Asako-hime's chibi jitte hangs around her neck, the sides of her hair tied back with a heavy gold cord and the star symbol of Coronaborealis emblazoned on her forehead, along with the tri-pearl decoration on each side.

PERSONALITY:
Asako is the typical Libra, being quite the diplomat. She is also idealistic, a peacemaker, refined, poised, gracious, kind, courteous, fair-minded, sociable, charming, artistically creative, affable, cooperative, extroverted, and usually somewhat indecisive. Her ruling element of air sometimes shows up in her air-headed moments, and in her dancing grace. Venus, the planet of love and beauty, makes her a very charming and courteous person.
SOILDER STATS
REALM OF POWER AND SYMBOL:
Her powers are derived from the spectrum of light, so her powers revolve around the rainbow of colors. Borealis's symbol is a curved line with five dots, which is the outline of the constellation Corona Borealis in electric blue.
FUKU:
Borealis has the standard fuku, her unique color being electric blue (a shade between sky blue and aquamarine). The only noticeble difference is that Asako has three little golden pearls on each side of her golden star marking, ending near her hairline. Her boots are shin-high electric blue boots with slightly higher heels that come down in an inverted v, trimmed in gold around the ankles and top. (Here is a picture so you can see...click)
HENSHIN ITEM:
Asako doesn't have a henshin item persay, but always carries a smaller version of one of her jitte with her around her neck. She uses it in the henshin sequence (but you don't see it because she's wrapped up in the sashes), and it lenghtens and replicates into her twin Niji no Jitte. She can also use the jitte when not in senshi-form, but it takes a lot of energy to be able to replicate the chibi jitte into the Niji no Jitte, but she can.
WEAPON:
Yes, Sailorborealis does have a set of weapons. They're called Niji no Jitte, or the Rainbow Jitte, which are two jitte (ancient Japanese feudal weapons reminiscent of today's sais) with extended middle blades. They collect light energy in the blades, and Sailorborealis must have them to use her attacks. Both are worn in a scabbard that appears on her back when needed.
HIS/HER/ITS CHALLENGE:
"Blessed of the golden morning, I am the child of light, Sailorcoronaborealis! You have seen the last light of your existance!"
GUARDIAN:
Iris is the guardian of both Sailorcoronaborealis and Virgo. She's a half-grown blue-tortiseshell and white cat with bright green eyes and a golden star in the middle of her forehead. She's a very perky cat, and talks like an American teenage girl. (NOT a valley girl mind you...just normally!)
HENSHIN: "Corona Borealis Constellation Power, Make-Up!"
Asako cups her hands above her head as the constellation Corona Borealis (five stars in an arc) begins to spin around and around. The five stars (which now look like a ring of blue light they're spinning so fast) then touch her hands, igniting her body in a flash of bright blue light. The chibi jitte still rests around her neck, shimmering all the colors of the rainbow. She crosses her arms over her chest, fingers glowing with white light and she brings her legs together, toes pointed down. Asako begins to spin as she lowers her arms out to the sides, the white light turning into silky rainbow-like sashes that form around her body in a cyclone formation. The sashes tighten around her body to a cocoon shape as light plays around the entire cocoon. Asako then slashes through the sashes with her jitte, fully transformed into Sailorborealis. She poses standing slightly sideways, holding one jitte extended out to the side, the other pointed toward the sky with the wind blowing her hair around and one leg raised to her knee.
POWER NUMERO UNO: "Borealis Rainbow Flash!" (Borealis Niji no Senkou!)
Borealis draws her jitte out from behind her back, flipping them so that the blades face out from her. She then crosses them in front of her body in an x-formation as a wind begins to blow her hair straight up and skinny sashes of rainbow light swirl around. Asako then places her swords in the same position she ends her transformation in, rainbow light enveloping her form.She then swings the jitte around her body, whipping the rainbow ribbons around her entire body as they sparkle even brighter. Borealis then screams "Borealis Rainbow FLASH!!" as she sends the flashing ribbons up into the sky. They dissapear for an instant, then crash down around her enemy, sending up large sparks of energy.
POWER NUMERO DOS: "Borealis Spectrum Diminish!" (Borealis Bunkou Osamaru!)
Borealis jumps up into the air, carried by a strong wind. Sparkles surround her body, and the jitte blazes as she bransishes them in front of her body. She then points them to the sky, rainbow light covering the entire blade on both jitte. The sparkles intensify around the entire area as she stops in mid-air by shoving her blades down to her sides, screaming "BOREALIS...". Asako then angles her entire body and the bladed straight down at her enemy as she screams "SPECTRUM...". She then swings both jitte in an upward motion, sending two razor sharp scythe-shaped beams of energy down toward her enemy with the cry of "DIMINISH!"

Deraito no Otome: Lady of Daylight

Long ago, before the First Sailor Wars, a dark star was one of the only embodiments of the followers of Chaos visible to the world. The star had a concience, and this being created another one in the image of a human, a male named Yugatano. He was almost pure darkness, with dark blue eyes and shaggy hair that varied from purple to black. The young man knew no love on that dark star, until the star abandoned him on the peaceful planet of pure light, Solana, when he was the equivalent of about twenty human years.
There, he met the beautiful young ruler of that realm, a descendant of the Golden Senshi herself, Hiko. She bore a faint resemblance to Galaxia, with hair that varied from pale gold to dark orange and eyes the color of spring grass. Hiko warmed Yugatano's heart to goodness, and the two claimed each other as their own.
Happiness encompased their lives as two daughters were born to them, elder Asako and young Yoruko, both in the images of their parents. Asako was pure light like her mother, while Yuroko had more of the night-like tendancies of her father.
Tragedy struck when Chaos overtook Galaxia's body and sent the once-glorious Golden Senshi to seek star seeds. Both Yoruko and Asako had glittering star seeds, and their parents would stop at nothing to save their children. So Yugatano and Hiko sent their children off to seperate kingdoms in the Milky Way Galaxy. Virgo accepted the five-year-old Yoruko while the royal house of Corona Borealis gave Asako, now aged eight, a home. Both were raised as the senshi of their seperate kingdoms. They kept in constant contact with the other as they reached closer and closer to womanhood, both growing more lovely with each passing day.
King Kaichou and his Queen Nijiko raised Asako like their daughter, doting on the young girl and raising her as a true Princess Coronaborealis. She trained with her jitte with palace guards, one of whom she fell madly in love with. He was proclaimed her knight guardian, but his name and constellation have been lost among the sands of time. She was given her "chibi-jitte" henshin item at age fifteen, and the title Senshi of the Spectrum of Light.
Then, tradgedy struck the twosome again, just after Asako's seventeenth birthday. Just as the girls were to be reunited with their parents at the Council of Senshi, the meeting place for the constellation senshi, the same dark star that had created her father attacked the council, seeking what it called the "inochi no otome"...Asako and Yoruko themselves.
By that time, the star had sought out six more minions, the Lady Leiko, Lord Yuiko, and the senshi-turned evil Chiharu, Chinatsu ,Chiaki , and Chifuyu. All the senshi fought valliantly against the minions and dark warriors, but to no avail. Then, a miracle happened.
Yoruko and Asako discarded their fukus as Coronaborealis and Virgo, and only kept their weapons: Asako's jitte and Yuroko's no-datchi . Beautiful raniments of day and night appeared on each as the sisters became the legendary Inochi no Otome: Asako-hime and Yoruko-hime. Their abilities combined with the other senshi forced the Kurohoshi back to their star, and improsoned them there. All the senshi's powers were absolutely spent, so they all began to fade away.
Hiko and Yugatano used their devotion for their daughters and their comrades and their magical abilities to send the Constellation Senshi far across the galaxy, to the planet Earth to become Sailor Senshi in new bodies (aka rebirth).
Asako-hime was indeed reborn into the body of Taiyo Asako, the eldest daughter of a meteorologist and a house-wife. She grew up quite normally, living in Alaska and Montana in National Parks most of the time, There, she came to appreciate nature and daytime for its worth. Iris came to her when she had just moved into her uncle Shiro and aunt Ayame's house just outside of Tokyo, and Asako immedietly fell in love with the little furball.
