Spicing up Reports

Hiya......I have edited a lot of reports and some are excellent--
well written, full of adjectives and clear descriptions.
I always appreciate reports like these.
I have some shoppers that I use over and over
again simply because the reports
are absolutely wonderful. I do not mean to criticize anyone,
but some reports have no appeal or "umph" to them.
They are boring and mundane and could use a little
spicing up. I have read the statements "the shelves were
clean" or "the location was well maintained"
over and over again. The ones that
really stand out are the ones that say
"the shelves were free of dust with the items
arranged in an organized manner," or
"the location was very inviting and well maintained
and I felt welcome when I entered the store."
These type of statements
make such a difference in the quality of reports!!!!!!!!!!
Please for all your reports, try to add some pizazz
and make them really be noticed.
It does not take that much longer
to put in some adjectives and sentences
with more than 4 or 5 words.
Trust me.....this effort will be well worth it.
Your scheduler, the company and the client
will all appreciate it more than you think!!
Your name will be remembered
and you will get more shops because of it!!!
I love to tell my shoppers when they submit
a great report and how much I appreciate it.
I have done more shops than I can count,
and rarely did I get any positive feedback
from my scheduler or the company.
So please.....take that sentence.....
double the length and add in 3 more adjectives!!!
Try to paint a picture with your words!!
Tell how you felt as a customer!!
Explain any improvements that could be made!!
Remember, as shoppers, we are the
eyes and ears for our clients!!!!
They rely on us for this information!!
