Chapter Seventeen

“Let’s go home little one.” Lyndsey said, turning and heading out of the airport with Madi on her hip.

“Home?”

“Yup, we’re going home.”

“Dada bye bye?”

“Daddy went bye bye, he’ll be back tomorrow.”

“Oh. Bye bye!”

Lyndsey found the Durango, put Madi in her car seat and climbed in the drivers and drove off after adjusting it. She listened to the radio and Madi talk to herself on the way home.

“Here we are.”

“Ere?”

“Home.” she laughed, taking Madi out of her seat and walking inside.

“Seep Nin.”

“You’re tired?” She grabbed a bottle out of the cupboard and put water in it.

Madi nodded her head up and down with a yawn. “Wock.”

“You want to rock?”

Madi nodded her head up and down. Lyndsey picked her up and sat in the chair, rocking slowly. A few minutes later Madi fell asleep, dropping her bottle on the floor.

“That was quick!” Lyndsey carried her to her room and laid her in her crib, then headed back to the living room. She turned on the TV and picked up the phone to call LeighAnne.

“Hello?” LeighAnne answered on the first ring.

“Hey girl!”

“Hey Lyn. What’s up?”

“Nohting, I just put Madi to sleep. The guys are on their way.”

“Brian’s such a dork, he was so excited about doing this. So, how’s Madi alone with you? OK?”

“Sor far she is. I thought for sure she’d cry when Nick walked off, but she didn’t.”

“Definate stroke of luck.”

“That it is!”

“Is she very attached to him?”

“Extremely for having just met him a few days ago.”

“Maybe she knows...”
