Remember (so as not to forget)
-by:Tommi Powell
In Memory of Wesley Adam Clark

All is silent except for the wind
Who doesn't understand the demand
For the mad calm that consumes
The entire world and yet no one at all

The silence is deafening, overwhelming
One covers their eyes to forget so as not to feel
To cease the pain as rapidly and effectively
As his breath was stolen when his life was taken

Crystallized tears fall persistently
Salty thoughts demanding to be seen
Then one finds themselves needing to feel
For the sake of one who can't

The world tilts its ears and listens
To the mournful howl of the wind's love song
For the one who was snatched from life's warmth
And they begin to harmonize together

Some on the verge of insanity
Not believing, pretending not to know
Of the arms that will never hold again
Of the voice that will no longer summon smiles

Speak! Someone longs to scream
And break the eerie stillness that is devastating
But death is not loud nor submissive
And one cannot pretend to erase the past

Remember! They silently scream
Remember for the sake of not forgetting
And if you find no other reason
Remember so as not to overlook death's visitor

Break the silence, smile in the breeze
Kiss the glorious rain as it falls
Like the tears fell that day in a memory
And remember so as not to forget

I'm sorry guys, but my words go better in poetry than if I was to babble on about Wesley. I know they are no way close to what he deserves, what his life deserves but I can't. Hopefully, one can read how much everyone loved him in between the lines if it is not written plainly cause we all loved him. You couldn't help but be spell bound by the smile nor help laughing over his humurous antics. We've got to remember him somehow! He didn't deserve to die and he does not deserve to be forgotten!!!!!!
