It's taken me a while to decide what to write for this letter. I guess I've sort of been at a loss for words lately. First of all I'd just like to say how much reading all of your stories has helped me get over my own sadness. Every letter is so beautiful and meaningful, I've learned so much more about Wesley through this. I think that everyone has their own personal memories, some more than others, but here goes my story!

I knew Wesley for a long time, but I know I wasn't as close to him as a lot of y'all were. That doesn't mean that I didn't see what a wonderful person he was. I remember the little things about him, mostly about how he would ALWAYS find something to tease me about. No matter what, he'd make me smile. Wes just had this way about him. Call it charm or magic or whatever else you want, but all I know is how many people really cared for him and were touched by him. He was friends with people that weren't necessarily friends with each other. He didn't have a small, limited group of friends, but instead Wesley would smile, joke, and laugh with anyone. At school last Tuesday, I knew there would be an overall sadness, but nothing could have prepared me for what I saw, heard, and felt. It made me wonder how things could ever get "back to normal." Then I started thinking more about my happy Wesley memories and less about the tragic pain we were all feeling. Wesley was such a unique and truly special person to so many people. I know that we will never be able to understand why or how this could happen to him, but I also know that through love and prayer things will get better. Even though the world has lost a wonderful friend, brother, son, boyfriend, student, and person, we need to keep in mind that Heaven has just gained a very special angel. I love you all!
