Untitled
By: Christine Butler
A spring time mist like tears from the heavens,
A summer's eve that fades too soon,
A leaf that falls as autumn fades,
A snowy night by the light of the moon
A wish upon a burning star,
A thought dreamt through the night,
A whisper unheard through the wind,
A look, just barely, out of sight.
A moment of hesitation,
A moment, spent, to late
A regret that lasts forever
A moment chalked up to fate.
A point in time untouched by others
A time never to be again
A time eternally there in memory,
A time that had to end.
A cycle that is never ending
A point at which it all begins once more
A time of death and rebirth
A time to open that door.
