Welcome to the Herb Garden. We have tried to compile a rather extensive list of herbs as well as medicinal and spiritual uses for them. If you find some that we have forgotten or if you know of other uses for them, please feel free to e-mail us with your input.
I would like to add one note: Herbs can be dangerous in the hands of the inexperienced. Always consult a doctor (dietician) first before you try to self medicate with herbs.

 Agrimony: Medicinal Uses: used to treat jaundice and other liver ailments, ulcers, and diarrhea. Spiritual Uses: used in protection spells and to banish negative energies.
Acacia: Medicinal Uses: (Not applicable at this time) Spiritual Uses: Increases power of spells; protection, purification, anointing, peace, prosperity, love
Alfalfa: Medicinal Uses: eliminates retained water, urinary & bowel problems, anemia, fatigue, stomach ulcers, & general health. Spiritual Uses: property protection spells
Allspice: Medicinal Uses: toothaches and used as mouthwash. Spiritual Uses: healing, good fortune
Aloe Vera: Medicinal Uses: gel is used to treat burns, rashes, and insect bites. Spiritual Uses: protection from negativity.
Amaranth: Medicinal Uses: flu, diarrhea, {NOT TO BE USED BY PREGNANT WOMAN} Spiritual Uses: Associated with immortality (used with symbols of the gods and goddesses), also with invisibility (when worn on head), used to speed the healing process of a broken heart.
Angelica: Medicinal Uses: colic, heartburn, indigestion, circulation (esp. to pelvic region), used to bring on menses. {NOT TO BE USED BY PREGNANT WOMAN} Spiritual Uses: protection, break a hex, curse, etc…
Anise: Medicinal Uses: colic, gas, indigestion (mild herb for these problems) Spiritual Uses: used to ward off nightmares
Apple: Medicinal Uses: treat constipation, lower cholesterol. Spiritual uses: love and healing spells
