~*~*~A WEEK LATER~*~*~
“I can’t believe we leave today!” AJ said. “Our break’s gone way too fast!”
“Yep, but I can’t wait!” I said. AJ, Brian, Kevin, Nick, Howie, Mary, and me were all sitting in the guys’ living room eating lunch.
“Me either,” Nick said sarcastically. “What’s better than touring with your ex for a year?”
“Touring with your girlfriend for a year,” I said as I kissed him.
“Mmm, you’re right!”
“Well, I’m not that excited,” Brian stated.
“Frick, you can bring Mary on tour after about 2 months.”
“I know, but it’s so long,” he whined.
“It’ll be alright,” Mary reassured him. “I promise.”
“So, when does the bus leave?” Howie changed the subject.
“Well, it’s 1 now and it leaves at 9:30 tonight,” Kevin said checking his watch.
“We’ve got all day to hang out.”
“Mary and I have plans,” Brian told us.
“We do?” Mary asked trying to remember making plans for the day.
“Yeah.”
“Oh, I don’t remember.”
“I know. I didn’t tell you,” he grinned.
“OK, I was thinking we could go back to Magic Kingdom,” Nick said. Kevin, Howie, AJ, and I agreed.
A half an hour later, me and the guys were taking off to Disney World as Mary and Brian went to do their plans.
“So, where are we goin?” Mary asked excitedly as they pulled out of the driveway.
“Somewhere over the rainbow,” he sang.
“BRIAN! Tell me! I hate surprises so much!”
“Too bad,” he grinned evilly.
“You’re not fair,” she pouted.
“I know!!”
When they pulled into the skating rink Mary always goes to, she got confused and asked, “Brian, what are we doing HERE?”
“Skating.”
They walked into the building. It was totally empty except for the lady at the ticket booth. “You must be Brian.”
“Yeah.”
“We have everything set up for you. Here are your 2 pairs of skates.”
“Thanks a lot.”
“Your welcome.”
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
The guys and I pulled into the Magic Kingdom parking lot. All of them put on dark shades and different hats. “Where to?” Kevin asked.
“Lets go to that Pirate Ship ride or whatever it’s called,” Howie suggested.
“Wow, I can tell you come here a lot,” I teased him.
“Well, ya know, I’m only home 3 months out of the year.”
“I know! Luckily ,I know what you’re talking about. Follow me.” Nick put his arm around my waist and I led the way as the other 3 followed close behind us.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
“Here, put these on,” Brian handed Mary a pair of skates.
“Didn’t you say you can’t skate?” she asked as she slipped on the skates.
“I can now!” he grinned and took Mary’s hand and led her onto the rink. They skated slowly hand-in-hand as the lights dimmed and little colorful lights splashed their reflection on the ice. Speakers blared “I’ll Never Break Your Heart” as Brian and Mary skated.
“I love you,” he whispered.
“I love you too, Brian.”
~*~*~5 HOURS LATER~*~*~
“Guys, we’re supposed to meet Mary and Brian for dinner in an hour, we better go back,” I told them.
“Good idea,” Kevin agreed.
“I don’t wanna leave,” AJ whined.
“Bone, we have to.”
“OK.” The five of us left the park and headed to Roetelle’s.
~*~*~AT THE SAME TIME~*~*~
“Ready to go eat?” Brian asked.
“No, I wanna stay here with you...forever.”
“As good as that sounds, we have a dinner date with everyone else.”
“OK.”
“Lets go.” He put his arm around her shoulders and they walked out of the ice rink.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
“How many?” the waiter asked without looking up.
“Seven,” Kevin answered.
“OK, follow me,” he said still head down. We followed him to a large booth.
As he handed us our menus, he finally looked up.
“Oh my god!!” I screamed. “DAVID?!”
He looked up shocked. “Lindsey?”
Brian and Mary walked in the restaurant and saw us at the booth and walked over. When I saw them, I was horrified at what would happen if Mary saw him.
“Hey guys!” Mary said cheerfully as she and Brian joined us. Neither David nor Mary saw eachother as David walked away.
“Oh, hi!” we answered. About 15 minutes later I saw David heading back towards our table. “Oh no, this is gonna be bad...” I said out loud.
“What?” Brian asked.
Mary noticed David and her entire face dropped. “Oh my god!”
“What?” Brian asked again.
“David...” she trailed off.
“What? Where?” he asked looking around.
David approached our table. “Ready to order?”
“What the hell are you doing here?” Mary shouted as everyone stared.
“Mary?! I..uh..I work here. Who’s he?” he asked rudely pointing to Brian who had his arm around her.
“My boyfriend,” she stated proudly.
“Yeah, whatever. What do you all want to eat?”
“Ahem,” Kevin cleared his throat. “We’ll just have a pizza.”
“With pepperoni and sausage, right Mary? Oh damn, I forgot, you’re a vegetarian.”
“Fuck you,” she said back.
“Just leave and get out order,” AJ demanded.
“Coming up.”
“What an ass,” I said.
“He’ll never change,” Mary said looking down.
“Hey-don’t let him ruin tonight for us,” Brian said.
Mary smiled and said, “I won’t.”
~*~*~9:20 PM~*~*~
“I’m gonna miss you so much,” Mary cried as me and the guys loaded stuff onto our busses.
“Don’t worry, I’ll see you in two months.”
“I love you.” Before he could reply she kissed him.
“I love you too,” he said when they had finally broken apart.
“B, we gotta go!” Kevin shouted out the window.
“Coming! Bye!” he hugged her tightly and jumped onto the bus.
“Bye!” she watched the busses pull away.
As much as I wanted to be on the Backstreet bus, I had to stay on Aaron’s for a while. “So, what’s up?” I asked him.
“Nuthin.”
“You’re bored already?”
“Yes!”
“Well, what should we do?”
“We have Nintendos in the entertainment room.
“Really? What are we waiting for! I’m there!”
We raced back there and put Mario Kart in the Nintendo 64. “I’m Yoshi!” he called.
“Then I get Wario.”
After a while he started singing, “Ain’t That Cute?”
“I love that song!”
“Really?”
“Yeah. It’s my favorite on your CD.”
“Nick and Brian wrote it for me.”
“I know! Hey you can’t do that!” I declared as he pushed me off the bridge.
“Yes, I can!”
“No you can’t!” I argued.
“Yes!”
“NO!!!”
“Fine,” he backed off.
“Thank you,” I lowered my voice. “So where’s the show tomorrow?”
“Atlanta, I think.”
“OK.”
