“Aaron!” Nick yelled.
“What?”
“What?! What do you think? She looked like she was gonna apologize until you made that face!”
“Well soooorrry!” he got up and went to his bunk too.
“Why do they have to be so damn stubborn?” he sighed.
“I don’t know. Jessica was like this too when she was around their age. I wish they would just end this and admit that it’s stupid.”
~*~*~MONDAY MORNING~*~*~
“Lindsey! Get your lazy butt outta that bed!” Brian yelled into the phone. “Mary’s plane arrives in 2 hours!”
“Relax, I’m almost ready. Come to my room in 15 minutes and we’ll leave. Get Nick, I want him to come.”
“You have 10 minutes and I WILL tell Nick to come. Just HURRY UP!” the phone clicked as he hung up.
“Someone’s a little excited,” I said as I set the phone down. Just as I finished getting dressed, there was a knock at my door. When I opened it, Brian grabbed my arm and pulled me out the door. “Brian! Stop! Ow, let go!” I shouted as he pulled me down the hall.
“Sorry,” he said and let go of his grip on my arm.
“Thank you!” I walked back to Nick and walked beside him. We all got in the rental car and drove the 20 minute drive to the airport.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
“Flight 185 from Orlando has arrived,” a lady said over an intercom. Brian jumped out of his seat and walked over to the gate.
As people started coming out of the gate, Brian was practically jumping up and down. When Mary walked out, Brian’s arms flew around her and they hugged eachother for a few minutes. When they pulled apart, Brian kissed her. “I missed you,” she whispered.
“I missed you too!”
Brian grabbed her bag and held onto her hand. They walked over to Nick and I and we greeted her.
When we got back to the hotel everyone said hello.
“Hi!” Nikki said to her.
“Nikki?”
“Yeah!”
“Hi!” Mary ran up to Nikki and hugged her. “Wow, you’ve grown up a lot in the past...what has it been? A year already?!”
“Yeah.”
“So what should we do today?” AJ asked.
“My aunt used to live here and she took me to an amusement park a couple of times. It’s called Kings Island and it’s really fun,” I said.
“Sounds cool,” Kevin said.
“Yeah, lets go,” AJ joined in.
The 9 of us walked into the parking lot. Howie, Kevin, Brian, and Mary got into the smaller car. I got into the driver’s seat of the other car and Nick sat in the passenger’s side. Nikki, AJ, and Aaron piled into the back. The whole drive there Aaron and Nikki complained about being squished next to eachother. AJ elbowed Aaron 3 times before he realized that we were there.
“Yo Airboy! We’re there!”
“Good,” he pushed Nikki out the door and got out. Kevin and Howie hopped out of the car next to us with Mary and Brian right behind them. The 6 guys all put on hats and sunglasses as we took off towards the park entrance.
“What’s a good ride?” Howie asked.
“I heard there’s a new one called Face Off or something. It’s over here,” I took Nick’s hand and we started walking as everyone else followed. When we walked up to the line, Nick let go of my hand and hesitated to get in the line. “Nick are you ok?”
“I...don’t like big roller coasters.”
“Oh, that’s ok. We can go off and do something else. How bout we meet up with you guys at about 5:30 at the Eiffel Tower over there,” I pointed to the large bluish tower.
“Ok, that’s fine.”
“Can I come with you two? I don’t think I can stand here all day and listen to Aaron and Nikki fight,” AJ asked.
Nick laughed, “Yeah, Bone, come on.”
Kevin, Brian, Howie, Aaron, Mary, and Nikki stepped in line for the ride as AJ, Nick, and I walked off to find another ride.
“What kind of rides are there that are good?” AJ asked.
“All the roller coasters,” I joked.
“I’m sorry!” Nick apologized.
“I’m just playin! But there is one roller coaster you could handle,” I smirked.
“No I don’t-” I grabbed his arm and pulled him to the ride. When we stopped, he asked, “What the heck is this?” He stood looking at the mini roller coaster.
“The Beastie! It’s for little kids who can’t ride the Beast.”
AJ laughed hysterically. “Fine...” he agreed and the 3 of us got in line. We got on the ride and screamed our heads off just to annoy the little kids.
~*~*~MEANWHILE~*~*~
The other 6 got off Face Off and were trying to decide where to go next. “Howie and I want to go look around at the shops. We don’t really feel like riding anything. We’ll see ya at 5:30,” Kevin said then they walked away.
“I wanna go on the Cobra ride over there,” Aaron said pointing to the King Cobra.
Brian and Mary looked at Nikki. She caught on to what they were thinking and said, “Ohhh no! No way! I’m not taking off with him. No!”
“Please...” they begged. “We really want some time alone.”
“I will only because you’ve gone so long without seeing eachother. Come on brat boy.” Aaron and Nikki walked slowly to the King Cobra and stepped in line.
“That sucked! Why did you wanna ride that?” Nikki exclaimed as they got off the coaster.
“Well then what do you want to ride?”
“I don’t know. Lets just walk around and see what looks good.” They decided on the Vortex, a roller coaster that goes upside down at least 10 times.
“That was so cool!” Aaron gushed as they walked out the exit when the ride had ended.
“I know! That was awesome!”
“Lets go again!”
“Come on,” they ran off to get back in line.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
“Lets go on the old fashioned cars right here,” Mary took Brian’s hand and they got on line. When it was their turn, they got into a blue car. Brian was in front of the wheel and Mary was in the passenger’s seat.
“So how’s touring been so far?” Mary asked.
“Exhausting! But it’s been a lot of fun. Except for the past week. Nikki and Aaron are constantly at eachother’s throats threatening to kill eachother. I feel bad for Lindsey because she shares a bus with both of them.”
“I know. Lindsey’s told me ALL about it!” Mary laughed.
“What have you been doing since I’ve been gone?”
“Well, I did really well in skating. Before that, I hung out with Samantha a lot. We had some catching up to do because we don’t usually have time to hang out. We went to Roetelle’s and saw David again. Do you believe he actually tried to hit on me?”
“You’re kidding!”
“Nope! It was so pathetic. I slapped him and walked out!”
“You go girl!” Brian said in a feminine voice and Mary laughed uncontrollably.
“You’re too much Brian,” she said between laughs.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
“What now?” Nick asked when he was stepping off the Beastie.
“Lets go on the Viking Ship.”
“And that would be...”
“A Viking Ship,” I said matter-of-factly.
“Haha. Funny.”
“Just kiddin’. It’s fun, come on.”
“Kay.”
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
“That was so much fun. What should we go on now?” Aaron asked as he and Nikki walked around checking out the rides.
“I don’t care.”
“Lets go on those bumper cars right there.”
“No, I’ll get a headache.”
“Come on, they’re so much fun!” he grabbed her hand involuntarily. He looked down and realized what he had done and immediately dropped it and got in line.
When it was their turn, they each got in a car. A minute before the ride ended, Aaron crashed his car into the back of Nikki’s, sending her head flying forward. “Oww!” she cried. The ride ended and she got off holding her neck. She had tears in her eyes.
“Nikki? You ok?” Aaron asked concerned.
“No..my neck,” she started to cry, “it...really hurts.”
“Oh no, I’m so sorry Nikki. I didn’t mean-”
“No, it’s ok.”
“No it’s not. There’s a first aid place that we passed back here. Come on,” he took her hand, on purpose this time, and led her to the first aid center. (*OK, you are probably thinking WTF! Even though Aaron is short in real life, for the sake of my story, he’s not short. Nikki is, so Aaron’s taller than she is...so it doesn’t look weird.)
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
“Ouch,” I said getting out of the ship.
“What?” Nick looked at me.
“I scraped my knee. That’s all,” I looked down, “Eww, it’s bleeding.”
“Lets go get ya some band aids,” AJ suggested.
“Ok, come on.”
When we walked into the first aid center, I saw Nikki lying on her stomach on one of the beds, and Aaron in a chair next to her with his head in his hands. “Oh my god, Aaron! What happened?”
“Lindsey?” he looked up. “She hurt her neck. I hit her too hard on the bumper cars. It’s all my fault...”
“I’m sure you couldn’t help it,” AJ tried to calm him down.
“Is she ok?” Nick asked.
“Yeah, she’s asleep.”
A man walked in the door, “Are you with these kids?” he asked the 3 of us.
“Yeah,” I answered.
“Her head went forward a little too fast. She’s gonna be fine. I couldn’t give her any medication without guardian consent, so she decided to sleep it off.”
“Ok, thank you very much.”
He looked at my leg, “Need a band aid?”
“Oh yeah, I forgot. Thanks.”
“Do you wanna go?” AJ asked.
“No, I’m gonna stay with them. I’ll meet up with ya later.”
“Ok, bye,” they said and headed out the door.
I sat down next to Aaron and lifted his head, “Hey, she’s gonna be ok.”
“No, she’s gonna hate me.” I laughed at what he said and he looked at me angrily. “It’s not funny,” he said seriously.
“Sorry...it’s just...I think she already does hate you. And I thought you hated her too.”
“Yeah, well, you thought wrong.”
“What?” I asked very confused.
“Do you really wanna know?” he asked looking up.
“Of course, now tell me.”
