Chapter 5

The next day, when they had reached Philadelphia, the guys had off; their next concert was the next day. Nick decided that this was the perfect time for him to take out Emmalee so she could tell him what she was going to tell him the night before.

Nick barely paid any attention when their manager was explaining something to them.

Jen decided to ask Emmalee what she was planning to do. "Emma?" Jen spoke up. They were in a hotel near the First Union Center, where their next concert was going to take place. Emma looked up from the book she was reading.

"Yeah, Jen? What's up?" she said, putting her book down on the nightstand. She was under the covers, even though it was the middle of June, but the room was very chilly from the air conditioning.

"Well...what exactly are your intentions towards Nick?" she finally asked, looking straight into Emma's eyes.

"Umm...I'm not sure, Jen." She picked up her book again, and turned to the page where she had left off. She didn't want to go into this topic with Jen.

"What do you mean, you don't know? Oh, just forget it. I'm going to go out for a walk. Bye," she said, before storming out the door. Emma sighed. Poor girl...Maybe I should let her get Nick. After all, they're closer in age than I am with him. I think that Nick is more mature than his years. That's the only reason why I'm going to try to have a relationship with Nick...if he's into serious relationships. If he thinks this will just be a fling, then I'll definitely make myself forget about him, she thought, getting back into her book.

A while later, there was a knock on the door. Emma sighed in frustration. She was just getting to the good part of the book. "Jen probably forgot her key card," she said to herself, as she stood up, walked over to the door, and swung it open. She stood there, motionless. It wasn't Jen. It was Nick.

"Hey, Emma. Can I come in? I saw Jen go out," he said. Emma motioned him inside.

"Yeah. What's up?" she asked, sitting down on the bed. Nick sat on the closest chair to the bed.

"So, what were you gonna tell me last night?" Nick asked finally. Emma was having doubts in whether to tell him or not. But she had to tell him. It was too late to back out now. She took a deep breath like she had the night before when she was about to tell him.

"Well...I think I have feelings for you, Nick. Actually, I know I have feelings for you, too," she said. Nick sat there, stunned. He couldn't believe his dream was coming true. The woman who he had secretly loved for the past couple of months actually felt something for him as well.

"It happened when you kissed me that night. That sent feelings of...I don't know, good feelings go up and down my spine. Like chills, and from then on, I felt myself starting to have feelings for you. But I don't know if we should have a relationship if you're not gonna be serious about it, since you're way younger than me," she said.

"Of course I want to have a serious relationship with you, Emmalee. I love you," he whispered for the first time.

"Oh, Nick!" Emmalee got out of bed, and ran to Nick, pulling him up, and kissing him deeply. Their mouths fused together; her hands going around his neck, and his around her waist. They got so into it, that they didn't notice Jen come in the room. She stood there shell shocked.

What the hell is going on here?? she said to herself, her anger getting the best of her. She quietly left the room, and ran outside, screaming. She vowed that she would get revenge on the little slut. She couldn't get away with it. She had known that she liked Nick a lot, but she still went and kissed him.

"She's gonna pay. She's gonna pay dearly for this," she said.

"I love you too, Nick. I know that now. This feeling that I have for you is love," she whispered into Nick's ear.

"Em...will you be my girlfriend?" Nick asked softly, kissing Emma's neck softly.

"Yes, Nick! Of course I'll be your girlfriend," she said, before they got into another hot kiss.
