Chapter 11

After the photo shoot the next morning, Alyssa hurriedly entered the condo. She walked into her room, and picked up the phone, then dialed her room phone number. It rang five times before Natasha picked it up.

"Hello?" Natasha mumbled.

"Hey, girl, are you still in bed?" Alyssa inquired.

"Uh...yes. Listen, Aly, I'm grounded for four weeks," Natasha said regretfully.

"What? What happened?" Alyssa said, her heart starting to thump loudly in her chest.

"I kinda disrespected your mom. I cursed and shit," Natasha responded.

"Oh, no! Now she'll never forgive me! Or if she does, she'll never forget it," Alyssa moaned.

"Listen, Aly, I don't wanna get you into any trouble, so when this is all over, we're gonna have to tell your parents that we switched, does that make you feel better?" Natasha asked.

"Well, I guess so. I'd rather get a punishment for switching then for totally disappointing my mother. Everything's all right here. But listen, Tash, I gotta go now, I'm tired and I wanna lay down okay?" Alyssa said.

"Okay, I'll talk to ya later than, Aly. Buh-bye!" Natasha said.

"Bye," Alyssa said, then hung up the phone. She looked at her watch. She had hours to kill before Nick called her.

"I think I'll lay down for a while. I am bushed," Alyssa said, taking off her shoes, and jumping onto the bed.

At six, as expected, the phone rang. Alyssa picked it up after the fourth ring, not wanting to seem eager to talk to him.

"Hello?" she said lazily.

"Hey, Tash, what's up? It's me, Nick," Nick greeted.

"Oh, hey, Nick, what's up?" Alyssa said.

"Just hanging out. You wanna do something? I'm really bored and have nothing to do," Nick said.

"Oh, sure, Nick. Come on over," Alyssa replied.

"Are you sure? Isn't anyone there?" Nick questioned.

"I gave my assisstant the day off, so I'm all alone. So come on over," Alyssa said.

"Okay, I'll be there as soon as I can, okay?" Nick said.

"Okay. See ya later, then. Bye," Alyssa said, then hung up the phone. She smiled. This was going extremely perfect.

Natasha quietly walked down the stairs, and past the living room where Alyssa's parents were sitting watching TV. She quietly opened the door, and slipped out. Mark was waiting for her down the street. She was really excited. She finally had a normal life.

"I wish I could always have this life," Natasha wished. She walked down the street and noticed Mark's car. She approached it and opened the passenger door.

"Hey, Mark," she greeted when she had settled in.

"Hey, babe." Mark looked over at her and smiled. He turned on the car, and they were soon on the road towards the movies. It was Thursday night, so it wouldn't be too crowded.

This is so perfect...Maybe I could talk Alyssa into staying switched a while longer. I'm enjoying this far too much...Natasha thought. She sighed.

Alyssa swung open the door when someone knocked.

"Hey, Nick," she greeted.

"Hey, Tash." Nick smiled.

"Come on in," Alyssa said.

This is gonna be one hell of a night, Alyssa thought, smiling. I love this glamorous life so much. I wish I could stay like this longer than we planned. Oh well, I'm just gonna have to get over it. This isn't my life...Oh, but I love it so much, Alyssa thought.

"What's wrong, Tash?" Nick asked, concerned, when they had settled themselves on the couch. Alyssa looked over at Nick and smiled.

"Nothing, Nick. Just how much I want to kiss you," she said.

"That could be arranged," Nick whispered, leaning closer to her. Soon, their lips met.

I wish time would just freeze, and I could be with Nick forever, Alyssa thought. She wrapped her arms around Nick's shoulders, drawing him closer, as if he would leave her.

Which will eventually happen, Alyssa. So don't get too close to him. We'll both wind up hurt, because when Natasha and I switch back, she's not gonna want him. Alyssa stopped thinking about all those unpleasant thoughts, and thought only of Nick.
