Chapter 16

"Yeah..." Alyssa responded.

"I can't believe you did this to me! How could you?!" she screeched.

"Well...I met him...and he was really sweet, so we went out. After a while, I began to have feelings for him, and now here we are, he's my boyfriend. I'm sorry, Natasha. But you did something behind my back, too. You're Mark Simmon's girlfriend. Mark Simmon's girlfriend is always called 'the perfect untouchable' by everyone, since he's a perfect untouchable. I can't believe that you went out with him and now you guys are going out," Alyssa said. "So, it goes both ways."

"All right, all right." Natasha sighed, still upset about Alyssa going out with Nick. She didn't understand how much she hated Nick. He'd never done anything to her. In fact, he'd always been sweet to her, but she hated it when he kept on asking her out, so she started hating him, too.

"So, you see? We're both the same," Alyssa concluded.

"Yes, I know," Natasha admitted, grudgingly. "But Nick?"

"Yes, Nick. He's the best guy you could ever have for a boyfriend. Why do you dislike him so much?" Alyssa wondered.

"Just this and that. Listen, since we've both got boyfriends now, whom we don't want to let go at the moment, why don't we stay switched a while longer?" Natasha asked.

"Yeah, that's a good idea. I was gonna ask you the same thing," Alyssa admitted.

"Great. Uh-oh, your mom's calling me. Gotta go, love ya, bye!" Click.

Alyssa replaced the receiver. She smiled. She could stay with Nick longer! She was so happy that she decided to go out for a run, something she hadn't done in a long time. She quickly changed into a pair of running shorts, and a tank top. She grabbed her walkman, and walked out of the condo. Her assistant had the day off, so Alyssa was alone.

When she exited the building, she was looking down, trying to turn on her walkman, when she walked right into someone.

"I'm so sorry, I didn't notice-" Alyssa apologized, looking up. Her eyes widened in surprise when she saw who it was. "Nick!" she cried, throwing her arms around his neck. Nick laughed, pleased that she was so happy to see him.

"Hey, baby...I missed you. I couldn't wait until tonight," Nick said.

"But I thought you had a recording session today," Alyssa said, perplexed. She pulled back, her arms still around his neck.

"Oh, the guys canceled the session for today, because Brian got sick. We have one tomorrow if he feels better, but I doubt it. He's going to the doctor. This morning he said he'd probably be better by the session but that didn't happen. So, you're about to run, huh?" Nick said, noting her outfit.

"Oh...yeah, I was about to go jogging. I haven't gone on one in a while," she said.

"Why don't you skip the jogging for today and stay with me instead...please?" Nick pleaded, his eyes filled with laughter.

"Well...okay. But only because I don't want you to be bored. Come on," she said, taking one of her hands and taking one of his, pulling him back into the building.

A while later, they sat on the couch, Nick's head on Alyssa's lap, one of her hands playing with his hair. His eyes were closed, and she was staring blankly at the TV screen. They were giving some weird movie about aliens. She yawned. She looked down at Nick, and smiled. He looked so beautiful and angelic. She leaned down and pressed her lips on his mouth. His eyes opened.

"Hey...you fell asleep on me," Alyssa protested. "What kind of guest are you?"

"I'm so sorry, baby...I'll make it up to you," he said, with a mischievous smile. He pulled her head down, and put his lips on hers, gently urging her mouth to open. Her lips parted, and his tongue entered her mouth. Their breathing became labored. Nick slowly sat up, and pulled Alyssa into his arms. His lips came off her mouth and landed on her neck, sucking gently, drowing in her sweet scent. He was so turned on, he didn't know what to do about it. He knew she wasn't ready for anything more. He groaned.

"Oh, God, baby, you have me tied up in knots. We have to stop," Nick whispered against her mouth. She pulled back, then rested her head on his shoulder.

"I know. We better do something else. How about watching a movie. That'll definitely cool us down," Alyssa suggested. Nick was up for it.

Natasha put on her sunglasses. It was so hot outside. She was sitting under a tree in the school's backyard. It was her free period.

"Hey, sweetie," Mark said. She glanced up. She was in a foul mood and didn't want to take it out on him. Alyssa's parents should be done away with, put in jail or something. They had her flaming mad all the time. She was going to get wrinkles. She pasted a smile on her face.

"Hey, honey." Maybe he'd cheer her up, because Alyssa's parents definitely weren't.
