Chapter 19

"Nick, I am so relieved...I don't know what would have happened if you hadn't had enough strength to stand up...Thank you, Nick. I love you so much," Bonnie whispered.

They were sitting standing a couple of feet away from Andrew.

"Me too, baby. I just couldn't stand seeing you get hurt by anyone let alone scum like him," Nick responded.

Hmmm....I think this is my best chance. They are distracted right now. Nick won't know what hit him,Andrew thought pensively. He heard sirens in the distance. I have to act now, or I'll lose my chance, Andrew thought. Suddenly, he jumped up and slammed himself against Nick, taking him by surprise. Bonnie screamed. Bonnie hurriedly picked up the gun that had flown out of Nick's hand.

"Let him go!" she cried.

Andrew smiled slowly. He pulled up Nick, and took out the long knife that was in his back. He put the knife around Nick's neck.

"Uh uh uh....Drop the gun, Bonnie. If you don't, I'll kill him right now!" Andrew said. The sirens were getting closer and closer. Bonnie dropped the gun.

"Andrew, the police will be here soon. It's over," Bonnie said, a tremor in her voice. Andrew shook his head.

"No, Bonnie. This is not over. I'll take him hostage!" he said. A second later, they heard voices over the speaker.

"Andrew Foreman, come out with your hands in the air. Andrew's head snapped towards the window, fear in his eyes.

Bonnie stared quietly at Nick. His eyes were staring straight into hers. Andrew dragged Nick towards the window. He slumped in defeat when he saw there was no way out of this. There were at least seven police cars outside, and all of the officers had their guns pointed this way.

What do I do? What do I do?Andrew thought, trying to come up with a plan quickly, but failed miserably. He didn't know how he could get himself out of this situation. I might as well turn myself in. They probably know I'm wanted in three other states, he thought. Well, I'm not going to leave these two unharmed. I'll probably get life in jail anyway. With that, he turned around, and jammed the long knife into Nick's side. Bonnie screamed, and ran towards Nick. Andrew ran from the room.

"Nick! Talk to me! Nick, please wake up!" Bonnie started crying harder. Nick looked so peaceful with his beautiful eyes closed, and his lips ruby red. Bonnie stood up, and ran downstairs and out of the front door. She saw that the police had captured Andrew, who had apparently tried to run away.

"Somebody get an ambulance! My boyfriend has been stabbed!" She then ran towards Andrew, and started punching his face, his chest everything she could get ahold of.

"I hate you, you bastard! I hate you!" The police had to drag her away from him. "Please! Call an ambulance!"

"An ambulance is on its way, miss. Now please settled down. Everything will be all right," the police officer soothed. Bonnie broke down into sobs.

A couple of hours later, Bonnie sat in a hospital chair, awaiting news from Nick's state. She had stopped shedding tears, knowing it wouldn't help.

"Oh my gosh, I forgot to call his family and the guys!" Bonnie said to herself, standing up abruptly. She quickly fished up thirty five cents from her purse to call Nick's parents.

After she had made all of the calls she needed to, she slumped back on the chair. A couple of minutes later, a doctor with a grim expression on his face entered the waiting area. He briefly looked over the room, and finally set his eyes on Bonnie. He nodded towards her, and she walked slowly to him, afraid of what was going to be said.
