Chapter 1

Jenna Madison stood in the kitchen, thinking about how lucky she was. She had just married the man of her dreams, and were finally back home in Orlando, Florida from their honeymoon in the Virgin Islands. Such a beautiful place, she thought dreamily. She looked at the very expensive wedding band and engagement ring she had on, very beautiful, with a few small diamonds surrounding a big diamond in the middle. She was starting to cook. The rest of the guys were coming over for dinner, and she was going to prepare spaghetti.

Nick entered the kitchen, whistling. He walked up to Jenna and put his arms around her back, pulling her towards him, and giving her a kiss on the neck.

"Hey, baby. Whatcha doing?" Nick asked, stepping away and walking towards the refrigerator. He pulled out a can of Coke.

"I'm cooking. Remember the guys are coming over to eat dinner with us tonight?" Jenna said, chopping onions.

"Oh, damn, I forgot. What time are they coming, again?" Nick asked, draining the can of Coke. He threw it in the trash, and sat on a stool that sat on the island in the middle of the kitchen.

"Umm...I think around six. Why, were you planning on doing something else?" Jenna asked, putting the onions into the spaghetti sauce.

"Well, I was going to go rent a movie or something so we could watch it. I mean, I thought I'd enjoy the few days of vacation that I have left. We go back on tour in less than a week," Nick said.

"Oh! I forgot about that! Nick, do I have to go on tour with you?" she asked, turning to face him. Nick looked up, perplexed.

"Of course you do. Why, don't you wanna go with me? I mean, I'm gonna be gone for months. Won't you miss me? I'd sure miss you. But if you truly want to stay behind, that's fine," Nick said, trying to mask the hurt. Jenna realized it, and sighed.

"Oh, Nicky, it's not that I don't wanna go, but I just don't know about leaving all my family and friends behind for months and months..." she trailed off, turning back towards the sink.

"Baby, it's not like you're not gonna see them again, right? You'll see them in a couple of months. They could come visit us wherever we are," Nick said. Jenna gave in.

"Okay, Nick," Jenna agreed. We just got back from our honeymoon, and now we're gonna have to leave again. When am I gonna have the time to actually stay in my house for longer than a few days at at time?she thought exasperatedly. She knew that it would be hard being the wife of the most liked and the cutest Backstreet Boy, and just a performer in general, since there's a lot of travelling involved. And always being away from your family, but she had to make a sacrifice to be with him.

"Great, Jen. Listen, I'm gonna run to Brian's place, and maybe shoot some hoops before dinner, okay?" Nick said. He stood up from the stool, and walked towards Jenna. He turned her around.

"Okay, Nick. Have fun. And don't forget to come back here to take a shower, if you're gonna play basketball," Jenna said.

"Okay, Jen. Later," he said, leaning down, and giving her a short but deep kiss. He rubbed her arm, before breaking away, and walking out of the kitchen.

She turned back to the task she was doing, and concentrated on it. She truly was glad that she had decided to marry Nick. He was the greatest. And it didn't hurt that he was rich as well.
