Chapter 17

Jenna watched Brian quietly from across the room. He was playing with Emily. He looked so cute laughing and playing with her daughter. She sighed. Someone tapped her on her shoulder and she jumped. She swiveled around, and smiled.

"You scared me half way to death, Lisa!" Jenna exclaimed. Lisa laughed. She was very tall, almost six feet. She had brown hair, and brown eyes, and very friendly.

"Do I see you giving the eye to a certain? Jenna! What's wrong with you?" Lisa said, more seriously.

"What?" Jenna said, startled.

"I see you giving the eye to Brian Littrell!" Lisa cried.

"No, I'm not! I'm watching my baby girl, and seeing how fast she's growing! Sheesh, Lees, you come up with the weirdest things! Me and Brian? Ha! You know the only love of my life is Nick!" Jenna said, pretending to be truly offended, but her heart beating a mile a minute.

"Oh, I'm so sorry! I'm so embarrassed! Forgive me?" Lisa said sheepishly. Jenna sighed with relief. She nodded.

"Sure, Lees. I'm gonna go outside, okay? I need some fresh air," Jenna said.

"Okay, see ya later, then Jen."

Jenna walked outside to the backyard. The woods were looming in front of her, and she decided that she needed to think a little bit without interruption for awhile. After about five minutes walking into the woods, she sat down on a big rock. She put her head in her hands.

A few minutes later, she heard crunching of leaves and twigs. She snapped her head up. She gasped when she saw it was Brian.

"Brian," Jenna said, surprised.

"Hey, Jenna...I'm sorry I followed you, but I saw you walk out, and came to see if you were all right," Brian said sweetly. He sat down next to her. Too close for Jenna.

"Oh...okay, thanks, Brian. You really didn't have to, you know," Jenna said, turning her head to look at him. Now they were only inches apart.

"I know but...I couldn't help myself, Jen...I was worried, because...because I still love you," Brian whispered.

"Brian...you love me still?" Jenna said, all of the old feelings that she had for him resurfacing.

"Yeah, Jen...I love you. I never will stop loving you..." he said, leaning closer and closer to her, until their lips touched in a tender sweet kiss, then it became harder and faster, and more desperate. Jenna put her arms around him, pulling him as close as she could. Her heart was pounding wildly from excitement and hunger. Brian broke off their kiss, and started to suck gently on her neck. Jenna started to moan.

"Oh, yeah...Brian...that feels soo good," she said, closing her eyes. Brian's mouth found hers again, and they started kissing more feverishly. Brian's hands started to go under her shirt. He ran his hands up and down her back. Jenna broke away.

"Oh, Brian! I still love you too!" she confessed, throwing herself into his arms. Brian rubbed her back soothingly.

"It's okay, sweetie." He pulled her back and planted a kiss on her mouth. Tears were running down her cheeks.

"Don't cry, baby. It makes me feel bad, okay?" He wiped away her tears with his hands. She nodded, and smiled.

"Brian, why do I love you so much? It's wrong!" she wailed.

"No, honey, it's not wrong...what's wrong is you loving Nick. That's what's wrong," Brian teased. Jenna laughed.

"You're so silly. Come on, we better get back. I don't want to be caught, or someone notices that we're both missing, especially Nick," Jenna said.

"When will I get to be alone with you again?" Brian asked.

"I'll go over your house tonight, after the party. I'll tell Nick that I went over one of my friend's house to talk with, okay? Write your address and slip it to me when you leave, okay?" Jenna said. Brian nodded. "Okay, you head back first. I'll follow you in a few minutes," Jenna said. They both stood up. Brian leaned in quickly and kissed her sweetly. Jenna smiled and pushed him away.

"Get back, silly, before we're discovered!" Jenna said, smiling.

"Okay, okay." Brian turned around and headed back to the house.

"Oh, man, what am I getting myself into? I promised Nick I'd never cheat on him again! It was NOT a good idea to invite Brian to this party! Oh geez, what am I gonna do?" Jenna fretted. But she had felt so whole and complete with Brian. She couldn't explain it. "Well, I'm gonna have to work something out, because I don't want to be without Brian." On that thought, Jenna headed back to the house.
