The 13th Month

Brittany & Sierra's Journal

July 1998

Well this month has been quite a busy one and Sierra has taken it so well. It's so great that when I am out and about I don't have to worry about bringing bottles with me.

I started working at home after my training of seven weeks finally ended. The first few days were hard on all of us. We had moved barely into another apartment, Jason was working more, and I was working, and the heat turned up about 15 degrees. I was happy to be home with my little angel though.

I was getting worried that Sierra wasn't gaining weight because she hardly eats a thing. I was wrong. She weighed 17 lbs. and 12 ozs. on the 20th of July. On the 3rd of June(her year visit) she was 16 lbs. 4 ozs. So since then she has gained about a half of an oz. a day. I am happy!

Since it is so hot(in the low 100') it is hard for her to eat much. I give her water and sometimes a glass of milk. She has a cold and an ear infection right now that are finally going away but that has taken effect on her appetite also.

Everything is going great and life is kind of slowing down. I am glad that I am able to have Sierra with me each day and I hope that this schedule slows down a bit more, for the whole family.

We did go camping last weekend and it was so nice. We bought a pop-up trailer to take with us. All I had to worry about taking was me, some clothes, and a little bit of food and she was fine. We are going to Montana this weekend to visit the family....so glad I don't have to pack any formula or bottles.

Well until next month.................so long!
