"Hi Ms Jane, is Nick here? We're suppose to go swimming," Ali stood there waiting for her best friend.
"Why...yes he is here, but he has a singing lesson going on."
"Singing lesson?...Oh, okay...well..."
"Well, come on in dear, just wait out by the pool, he'll be done soon."
"Oh, thank you."
Ali waited outside for 20 minutes before Nick appeared.
"Hey Ali!"
"Hey, since when do you sing?"
"Oh, well, I wanna be a singer. You know, tour the world. Be famous."
"Can I come?"
"Of course, you can be my groupie."
"Maybe I could sing too. We could do a duet."
"That would be cool."
"What if your singing people don't like me?"
"They..."
"You'll leave here and never see me again...Follow me," she walked out on the beach. She went into a place that was far back where the water would never reach, "This is our spot. Ours alone."
"How do we make it official?"
"A handshake for agreement, a hug for friendship, and a kiss for our time when we say goodbye."
"Okay..." they shook hands, hugged, and they both had their first real kiss.
"Now its official...our spot, nobody elses. We will never ever as long as we live tell another woul about this spot or this moment."
"Deal."
"Why did you put your tounge in my mouth?" Ali asked confused.
"That's how Brent said you kiss a girl. And well, that's wha you are."
"So are all all boys going to do that?"
"Well, yeah, but you don't like boys, only me."
"Yeah, but when I get older I have to like them. If I want to have kids and get a job and stuff."
"That's true."
"So, are you ready to swim?"
"Yeah, lets go."
They headed up to Nick's pool and took their over clothes off.
"What are you wearing?"
"Its a two piece. Girls on TV wear them. Its to show off my girlish figure."
"If that top falls off don't you blame me."
"I won't. It'll stay on."
"You don't care people can see your belly button?"
"What's wrong with it?"
"Its an outtie Ali. That's not too normal," he jumped in the water. Ali jumped in too.
"It is too normal!"
"Its only normal if your part pig."
"I'm not a pig!"
"I know, you're only part pig."
"You're wrong."
"No I'm not!" he decided, "Hey, wanna have a campout tonight?"
"Yeah."
"Maybe this time you won't act like a girl and will stay in your own sleeping bag."
"Oh shutup, I am a girl."
"You admit it!"
"DO NOT!"
"So you're not a girl?"
"No, I'm just one of the guys."
"Good."
"Nick, wakeup!" Ali shook him.
"What?"
"There's a ghost outside the tent. Will you look?"
"Fine," he got up and went outside. He came back in acting like a zombie, "Ali..."
"Nick?"
"Nick isn't here anymore...want brain...give me your head!" Ali squealed and jumped in Nick's sleeping bag, "Ali, I'm just kidding. There was nothing out there," he got in too.
"Can I stay here just incase?"
"You always do."
"Thanks."
