Chapter One

Nick, AJ, Brian, Howie, and Kevin sat around a small campfire. Nick had taken his little brother camping. The guys had offered to come. "Okay little buddy it's your turn,". Nick smiled. Aaron looked at the faces, all of them way older than he. A wave of something came over him. He never felt he had to impress them before. But suddenly he had to.

"I need to go to the bathroom. I'll be back,". He stood up and grinned evilly to himself.

Aaron walked through the woods to the 'potty hole'. He felt like he couldn't move something had taken him over. He wasn't walking on his own, he tried to scream for help, but something kept his voice from coming out.

'Don't try' a voice said inside of his mind. Something made him laugh with evil.

Suddenly a beautiful girl stood in front of him. She wore a long silver dress. And a white train trailing being her. She had golden blonde hair that was full of big ringlet curls. She had deep blue eyes, like the ocean and pale white skin. The only colors on her face were her light pink lipstick and her blue eyes. She smiled at the ten-year-old boy. "Come closer," she whispered. She had a voice like an angel.

"Yes master," Aaron replied. He walked close to the girl. She reached up and touched his cheek. Her hands were soft and cold.

"Tell him the story young one. He will not believe. Then later, bring him to me. Bring him to our new home, where he will learn. Then he will be as you and I,".

Aaron nodded. A minute later she was gone. He remembered nothing. He looked around. "Did I even go to the bathroom?" he asked himself. He shrugged and walked back to the guys to tell his story.

"Where is he? Did he fall in the stupid hole?" Nick laughed. Suddenly he saw his brother sit on the log in front of the fire.

"Ready for my story?" he asked.

Nick noticed something, something strange. He always had brown eyes. Why did they look a deep blue?

Aaron started his story. "Long ago, vampires roamed this world. Looking for one person as their leader. Humans, slayers killed them off, one by on... until only one was left. Her name was Scarlet. She roamed the earth looking for her true love. But nothing. Then one day she met the oracle. This creature told her watch for the one with the angelic voice, the one with the hair spun with gold, the one with love of the ocean. Watch for his eyes, as blue as the sky and as deep as the water. He will be the one to lead you. But you must not seek him out. He will come to you, with the help of a young child. She left the oracle with wonder of whom or when this man would come. She has roamed the earth waiting, and when she finds him she will sing. Her song will carry through his dreams,". Aaron was silent.

Nick looked at his little brother. "Aaron where did you learn a story like that?" he asked.

Aaron looked at him startled. "What?" he asked, like he wasn't even there when he told it.

"That story... where did you hear it, what happened to the army stories and stuff?".

Aaron was obviously confused. His eyes... they were no longer the deep blue they were only moments before. They were once again brown. "I... don't know," he whispered rubbing his head.

"Well let's go to bed then. We have a long hike tomorrow," Brian suggested. Aaron and Nick climbed into their tent. The moment Aaron laid down he was asleep. Nick closed his eyes. Darkness was all around him. The girl stood in front of him. Her voice was so beautiful. She sung a beautiful song. Then she came closer to Nick and touched his cheek. Her hands were like ice.

Slowly she backed away from her. She laughed. "Don't try to move, it will not save you," she whispered. He tried to run but still he couldn't move. She leaned close to his neck and bared her fangs... Nick screamed and woke up with a jolt. He was drenched in sweat. Flashlights were being shinned in his face.

"Kaos, you okay?" asked Brian.

Nick shook his head. "Yeah, I'm fine, just a bad dream,".

Brian patted him on the back and left the tent. The others were following. Nick sighed and looked at his brother. Aaron just stared at him. His eyes... they were deep blue, with a ring of silver around them.

"Aaron your eyes...". He could have sworn he heard Aaron growl. The color disappeared.

"Nick, go back to sleep," he said harshly. Aaron made a swish of his hand. Nick's eyes felt heavy. Moments later he was asleep once again.

Aaron looked beyond him at the woman. "Your doing well young one..." she whispered.

Aaron smiled to reveal two fangs...
