That night Nick lay in his bed and dreamed feverish dreams. They haunted him, and he tossed and turned in a cold sweat. He saw Nathan, running and smiling. Too smart for his age, he came to Nick and told him something that he himself had been trying to figure out for years. Nick ran into a park and played basketball, the day was filled with sunshine. But then almost instantly he was out of the park, in front of a stone path. It was dark, Damp, and cold. Nick took his little brother's hand. Nathan guided him down the cobblestone pathway. And suddenly disappeared.
Nick looked around. He was standing in front of a grave stone. It was too dusty for him to read, so he kneeled down and took the sleeve of his shirt and wiped away the grim.

How could he never tell me?
Nick jerked back, and lay on the ground. The world was spinning so fast. He couldn't seem to keep up. Something forced his breathing to go slower. Then the thing lifted him up to see the grave gone, but instead to find another one in its place.

You never listened.
Nick's heart felt ten times its own weight. He dropped to the ground and then there was a large earthquake...
"Nick! Nicky!".
What was happening? Who was calling him? Nat? Julie? His eyes snapped opened. "Aaron! Thank god its only you,". He wiped some sweat from his forehead and sat up.
"Gee thanks Nick, I love you too. Mom wants you up. Nathan's funeral is gonna be in about an hour,". Aaron looked at his brother. "Nick, its okay, we all miss him," He wrapped his little arms around Nick's neck. "I love you Nick," he whispered.
Nick rubbed his back. "Ditto Air bud,".
Aaron smiled and ran out of the room.
Nick sighed, he was so tired, and he just laid back and closed his eyes. In minutes he was welcomed into dream world.
About twenty minutes later Nick woke up, Julie was sitting on the corner of his bed. "Morning sleepy head," she smiled.
"Yeah morning whatever," he mumbled and walked towards the shower.
"You never were a morning person!" Julie yelled and threw some towels at him.
Nick let the water soak over his naked body. The hot water seemed to make everything better. Finally about fifteen minutes in the shower he jumped out and got ready. He was done in less than five. He walked out of the bathroom, and noticed what Julie was wearing. A long tan sun dress. Her hair was curled, her cheeks were pink and her lips were glossed. She smiled. "You look, ugh, great,".
He said in awe. Julie laughed. "Thanks you too," she replied scanning the cream white sweater, the black leather jacket, baggy black jeans, the silver-framed glasses and the black dress type shoes.
Nick looked away from those gorgeous penetrating eyes. He heard her shoes click towards him. He knew in all his heart and soul how he felt. He also knew what was going to happen next.
"Nick," she whispered, lifting her hand to his chin and pulling his eyes to look at hers. He couldn't stop himself; he took a hold of her waist and pulled her closer. He kissed those lips; they were so full and bright.
Julie knew exactly that this was going to happen. She was surprised that the feeling of his kiss was so overwhelming and so pleasing. She heard a muffled squeak, and realized it had come from her.
Nick pushed her away. "Just stop it Julie. You and I both know this can never be anything,". He rubbed the back of his neck.
"Why Nick!" she demanded. "You know in you heart that you love me as much as I love you,". Her eyes looked pleading. He knew that he was going to hurt her, but he had to, before she got hurt later on in life.
"No I really don't Julie, You mean nothing to me. I don't even know why I was ever friends with you,". He turned to face his window. He didn't want to face her.
Nick heard her shoes slowly click out of the room. He watched as she ran out of his front door and into the street. The black car came out of now where. The windows were painted black and it was speeding fast. Julie was hit and thrown over the top of the car. She hit the road and lay motionless. Nick screamed and ran out the door, and into the street, skidding to a stop next to Julie.
"Jules, please, you were right. Wake up Julie, I love you,". He kissed her tear stained cheeks. Warm blood settled on her lips. He wiped it away and looked at his hands. They were coated in her blood. Nick held her head in his lap. She was bleeding so badly, and the driver didn't even stop to look. His tears dripped on her face.
"I am sorry," he whispered, as the ambulance took her away. He watched the ambulance until it was out of site. He knew where it was going. The Morgue.
