Chapter 23

"On contrare," Nick said pulling out a Millennium CD,"Who's that?" he asked
pointing to the blonde one on the CD.

"You're a Backstreet Boy?" Turn asked. Kat dropped the mic.

"You guys are, you're," she was in shock, "You're them? The BSB?"

"Yeah," Brian smiled and tickled her.

"I have your underwear," she whispered to him. Brian started laughing.

"Can you sing 'I Want it That Way'?" Turn asked.

"Sure," Nick smiled. Him and Brian without sang the other guys.

"That was great. Our mom always says 'Nick Carter's going to marry Aunt
Ali someday and Brian better ask me out," Kat giggled," She loves you guys. Just wait until I tell her!" she said excited. Brian and Nick looked at each other worried.

"Why don't you guys sing for us again?" Brian suggested. Kat picked up her mic and continues. Turn started to cry. Brain ran over and picked him up.
He took him in another room.

"I want mommy," he cried.

"Turn, you and Ali talked about this. She's watching over you from up
above," he smiled.

"I know," he said wiping his face," I just miss her," he whispered.

"I understand, but Ali loves you so much, it'll all be okay," he hugged him.

"Okay," he sniffed and got up. They went back to where Nick and Kat
were.

"You two can sing really good," Nick complemented.

"Thank you. Ali taught us. Mommy said Ali was going to be a famous singer, but gave it up for Dan. I wanna be a singer," Kat explained.

"Yeah me too," Turn agreed.

"Bri, they could go on tour with us," Nick suggested quietly to him.

"If they go Ali goes," Brian replied.

"Oh, never mind then," Nick said checking his watch, "Hey, its 4:15, we gotta get them back," Nick announced.

"Ali's gunna freak," Brian panicked, "Come one guys lets go," he said picking up Turn.

"So she can freak," Nick shrugged and got Kat. They got back at 4:30. Nick drove as slow as possible on purpose.

I was so worried I started to get angry, but then I saw how happy the
kids were and it took my worries away.

"Ali, I'm really sorry. I lost track of time," Brian apologized.

"Its okay, I was just really worried," I sighed.

"And it didn't help with Nick driving as slow as possible. You 2 really need to makeup. He's starting to drive me crazy," he explained.

"Nah," I shrugged, "Where're the kids?" I asked.

"With Nick, in the car, I'll go get them," Brian said just before Nick ran in the house with them under his arms.

"SUPER TWINS!" he yelled as they "landed" on the couch.

"Never mind," Brian laughed.

"Thank you guys so much for watching them. i had so much to do and I got it done," I said looking at Brian. My phone rang.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Al, its AJ. Are Brian and Nick there?" he asked.

"Yeah, they're here, one unfortunately," Nick shot me an evil glare and I
returned it.

"They need to get to the airport now," he said panicked and hung up.

"AJ says you two gotta go. You're gunna miss your flight," I told them.

"Okay Al, we'll see you soon enough," Brian said hugging me, "Take care of
yourself."

"I will," I replied.

"Call me if you need anything," he offered.

"Okay Bye," I said as he started to walk out.

"Bye."

"Bye Nick," I tried to sound nice.

"Bye Bitch," he called.

"Kids, stay there," I said and stepped outside. I closed the door tightly,
"Nickolas!" I yelled. He turned around angry, "Say to me what you will,
but don't you ever swear in front of them. NEVER!" I yelled.

"Don't you yell at me. You have no right!" he yelled back getting angry.

"Fuck you Nick, Fuck you," I yelled more. I was so angry with him.

"As I recall you already did that," he said smugly. With out warning I slapped his face as hard as I could. I took my ring off and threw it at him.

I calmed down and went back inside. I couldn't believe he had said that to me! I mean I could put him in jail for what he did to me. Part of me wanted to so bad, but the other part didn't. After, he was drunk.

* Four Months Later *

For those past four months the new MacLaren family grew very close. I
eventually explained to Kat what happened. She cried a lot, but got use to
the idea of living with me. I took them to work everyday and they still always called me Ali. I figured they would never call me mom. I felt as if I was their mom. They were so great and hardly ever fought. I loved them more than anything that had ever come into my life.

* * *

"I need you tonight," Nick started to sing to himself.

"SHUTUP!" AJ yelled, "Its 3 am Nick!"

The guys had been asleep on the bus, well, until Nick had started to sing.

"I'm amusing myself, I can't sleep," he said smugly.

"He really needs Ali back," Brian whispered into AJ's bunk.

"Nick just call her!" Howie yelled at him.

"I don't know whom you're talking about," Nick said trying to sound mature. He pulled the curtain to his bunk and tried to sleep. Finally, the guys got to sleep.

The next morning AJ called me.

"Ali, call Nick, please. I'm going to kill him," AJ begged.

"AJ, we weren't meant to be," I told him.

"Is that AJ?" Turn asked. Turn and Kat had never met Howie, AJ, or Kevin,
but had met them over the phone.

"Yeah," I replied and handed him the phone.

"Hey AJ!" he said happily.

"Hey, you and Kat call Nick. Tell him Ali wants to be his again," AJ instructed.

"I dunno, I might get in trouble," Turn disagreed.

"No you won't I'll tell her it was me. Just please little buddy, do it for Uncle AJ?" he begged him.

"Okay," he agreed, "So when do I get to see you in person?"

"Kat are you almost ready?" I called to her.

"Can you come here?" she asked. I went in her room.

"Okay, I'll call him right now, bye," Turn said to AJ and hung up. He looked in the roledex and found his name. He dialed carefully.

"Hello?"

"Nick? Its Turn, you know I live with Ali?" he said thinking Nick might
have forgotten him.

"Yeah, I know. How you been?" he replied.

"Good, but Ali says she misses you a lot. She says she needs you all the
time, can you PLEASE call her?" he asked in a begging type tone.

"Sure little buddy, I'll call her," Nick replied.

"TURN WE GOTTA GO!" I yelled downstairs to him.

"Gotta go," he said and hung up, "I'm coming Al!"
