I went to check on Mary. She finally came out.
"I feel a lot better now," she commented.
"Are you hungry?" I asked.
"Starving," she said rubbing her stomach. We went downstairs
and I fixed
her a dinner.
"So do you know all the BSB?" she asked.
"Yeah, they're real sweet," I smiled, "But they
have a thing for hitting me with frisbees...I don't get it,"
I laughed.
"Did I make you and Nick breakup?" she asked worried.
"Of course not. Me and Nick differ on opinions, that's all,
and he's still here
somewhere. He has no way of getting home except through me,"
I replied,
"Now I think you better get to bed," I said seeing the
clock read 11:30.
"Yeah," she agreed. I showed her her room and told her
anything of mine
is hers.
"Thanks Al," she smiled and fell asleep. I went back
out to see Nick with
Kat and Turn. They'd been crying because they were scared they'd
cause me and Nick to fight, but Nick being so fatherly hushed
them to sleep.
"I think I'm stuck," he smiled up at me.
"Well, good. We need to talk," I said sitting down on
the coffee table across from the couch.
"Al, its just, I'm not the one who brought them into this
world. I shouldn't have to take care of them," he explained
his side.
"You don't have to, all I wanted was fore you to put the
in bed, but I
understand what you're saying. I just want to help everyone,"
I admitted, "My kids love you so much that I really don't
know what they'd do if you left for good. They really want to
sing, but I have so much to do here so, I was thinking maybe you
could take them with
you, but I'll put everything on hold if you need me to go,"
I explained.
"Al, I love you, I want you to go with us. Your kids need
you too," he replied.
"But Mary," I started.
"Bring her too if her parents aren't in contact yet. I don't
want to waste anymore time without you," he smiled.
"Okay, but Nick even thought these aren't your kids I still
have to take
care of them. So don't expect me to be with you every minute,"
I replied.
"Okay," he grinned and kissed me.
"Oooooh!" we heard Turn and Kat coo.
"Ah, so you are awake," Nick laughed and picked them
up.
"I think we did it," Turn whispered to Kat. Nick and
I put them back in
bed.
"I'm going to open my house up to the homeless," I decided
as me and Nick layed in bed, "Mary looked so thankful."
"You only have a week here left," he replied stroking
my hair.
"Well, I'll redo the basement while we're gone and open up
when I get
back," I reasoned.
"But aren't you trying to save money?" he asked.
"Nick, I'm fine with money. Besides Tiger Beat called and
asked if I'd be a
journalist for them. You now since I practically live with you
guys. I'll call them tomorrow and take the job," I explained.
"Let me help with the money," he said as if almost a
demand.
"We're fine," I whispered and kissed his chest, "Lets
just go to sleep," I suggested.
He nodded.
"Love you," he said quietly.
"I love you too," I said and fell asleep.
The next morning I woke up first. Nick was obviously really tired
so I let him sleep.
I went downstairs to see Kat and Turn playing playstation.
"Not so close guys," I said referring to how close they
were to the TV.
"I WON!" Kat yelled and ran in the kitchen. Turn followed.
"Ali," Turn started, "Me and Kat were thinking,
and can we call you mommy? Please?" he asked hopeful. I smiled
at the both of them.
"Of course," I said and hugged them. Mary then walked
in, "Hey Mare, what do you want for breakfast?"
"Oh, anything you fix'll be fine," she said shyly sitting
by Kat and Turn.
"HI! I'm Turner, but call me Turn," he said happily.
"And I'm Kat," she boasted, "I'm going to sing
and be famous and mommy's going to marry Nick and make him my
daddy," she also said happily.
"Kathleen, you don't know what's going on with me and Nick,"
I laughed.
"Yeah, but old mommy said that," she smiled, "She
said you guys will fight
forever, but eventually get married," she smiled as I put
her french toast in front of her.
"Did she now?" I grinned at her. She nodded peppy as
she ate, "Anyway,
these two are my kids, they're twins," I explained to Mary.
"I'm older!" Turn but in.
"Where's Nick?" Mary asked me.
"Sleeping, he's really tired from the tour. Only him and
Bri came home
this time," I told her.
"Bri? As in Brian B-Rok Littrel?" she asked stunned.
"Yeah," I shrugged giving Turn his eggs.
"Could I meet him maybe? He's so hot," she squealed.
"Better than that, I'll get him to take you on a date,"
I smiled.
"Really?" she asked bug eyed.
"Yeah, I'll call him right now," I said picking up the
phone.
"Hello?"
"Bri, its Al," I started.
"Hey! How're the twins?" he asked.
"They're great. Hey you don't have anything to do tonight
right?" I asked
hopeful.
"No, why?" he asked.
"I have a date for you. She's really pretty and smart and
she's single too," I said trying not to sound like she was
a fan.
"How old is she?" he asked.
"13, but Bri, don't judge until you meet her," I encouraged.
"Okay, I'll pick her up at your house at 7, k?" he asked.
"Great, thanks!" I smiled and clicked off, "Be
ready at 7!" I hugged Mary.
"Oh! Thank you so much!" she squealed, "Can I borrow
clothes?"
"Yeah go ahead," I laughed as she ran out of the room.
"Why does she think Brian's hot? He's only Brian," Kat
asked.
"But to her, he's a hung so, she likes him," I tried
to explain.
"Is Roadie going to perform with us?" Turn asked picking
her up. I nodded.
"Now go get dressed, we gotta get to work soon," I said
helping them out of their chairs.
"I could stay home with them," Nick suggested sneaking
up behind me.
"Oh, are you sure?" I asked. He nodded, "Okay well,
then I guess I should
go on in then," I said a little surprised.
"Yep," he smiled mischievously.
"Bri's taking Mare out tonight, make sure she finds and outfit
of mine that he'll like. If not then take her to the mall with
this credit card. Get her
whatever. And Kat, Turn, don't give Nick a hard time and meals
before dessert and," I was cut off.
"Al," Nick stopped me, "Go, just go," he encouraged.
"You sure about this?" I asked.
"Hey, I gotta learn sometime if I'm gunna marry you like
Kat says," he
grinned and kissed me.
"Okay," I smiled back, "Love you, bye," I
said and rushed out.
"I love you too," he called from the door. I just got
in my car and drove off.
