"Nick, will you be my daddy?" he asked. Nick had no idea how to answer.

"Well, Turn, um, me and Al, we need to be girlfriend/boyfriend for a little longer and maybe later I'll be your daddy," he explained awkwardly.

"Do you wanna be my daddy?" Turn asked looking at the ground.

"Yeah, yeah I do, and I'll act like I am, but it won't be official until me and Al are ready to get married. Is that okay little buddy?" he asked ruffling his hair.

"As long as we get to have these guy to guy chats," he smiled, "Cuz mommy took us to the mall and man, there were girls there, and all my friends hate girls, but I think they're cute!" he rambled on.

"Turn, you're 3. Don't worry bout girls yet," he laughed, "But just to let ya know. You're suppose to like girls."

"Oh, okay, I thought I might be crazy or something," Turn said unpausing
the game.

"You look pretty," I said tickling Kat. She giggled and fell on the bed laughing.

"You look pretty too mommy," Kat said standing on the bed and playing
with my hair that was falling out of place.

"Why thank you," I smiled, "How about you and me go see if Mary needs any help," I suggested.

"Okay," she said hopping on my back. We went and knocked on Mary's
door.

"C'min," she called.

"Mare, you look beautiful," I complemented seeing her.

"Yeah, who knew under all those rags I looked like this," she smiled back.

"Can I go play with Turn and Nick now?" Kat asked. I nodded and put her
down.

She ran off. "Okay, I think I'm ready now she said looking herself over one more time".

"Well ya look great. He'll be here in a few minutes. I gotta go watch the
kids so they don't attack Nick," I laughed.

"He's a really great guy," Mary smiled putting on her jacket.

"Yeah, but that make me wonder why I'm with him," I said staring off in
space. I left and went out to see Kat and Turn pinning Nick down and tickling him.

"Guys, stop c'mon," he begged.

"So," I started laughing , "C'mon kids get off him. Its time for dinner anyway," I smiled down at Nick. They got off him. Turn jumped in my arms and Kat go on my back.

The doorbell rang and all of us, except Nick went out answer it.

"Hi Bri!" Turn smiled.

"Bri!" Kat squealed, "Mary looks really pretty," Brian just smiled.

"Hey guys, is she ready yet?" he asked.

"Yeah, she'll be down in a minute," I smiled at how adorable he looked. He had Roses in his hand and a goofy southern smile.

"Okay, I'm coming," Mary called walking down the stairs. The two finally
left on their date.

"What do you guys want for dinner?" I asked them as we went in the
kitchen, but Nick was already cooking.

"Hope you guys like spaghetti," he smiled at me.

"Good with me," Kat smiled.

"That's fine," Turn agreed.

"Nick, I can cook, you don't have to do this," I said feeling bad he was
cooking.

"Its okay, I got it," he said draining the pot.

"But."

"Al, if I'm gunna be their daddy then I gotta do some things too," he
explained setting the table.

"But."

"You are far too stubborn," he said enveloping me in a hug. He kissed my
head, "Let me do this," he whispered in my ear. I nodded and pulled away. He kissed me gently.

We then sat down for dinner.

"So, when're we going on tour?" Turn asked me.

"Next week," Nick told him.

"What are they going to sing?" I asked unsure if they were prepared or not.

"Just simple songs, we'll figure something out," he shrugged. We ate dinner and put the kids to bed.

"So," I sighed sitting on the couch. My stomach ached a little, "Oh, I think I'm gunna go to bed, my stomach's off," I said rubbing it a little.

"You okay?" he asked looking in my eyes.

"yeah, I'll be okay," I smiled and kissed him gently.

"I'll wait up for Mary," he said softly.

"Okay," I yawned. It ached a little more and I didn't feel like getting up, "I'm just going to sleep here. I don't wan to get up," I layed down.

"You sure you're okay?" he asked rubbing my leg.

"Yeah," I mumbled half asleep, "Just, oh, ow, um honey, could you put a
blanket over me. Its cold," I asked in pain. Nick was in shorts and a T-shirt and he was hot. I on the other hand had on layers of clothes and still was shivering. He felt my forehead,"

You're so warm," I whispered. His hand was burning from the touch of my
head.

"Ali, you're burning up," he said worried, "I'm gunna call Stacey, you're
not leaving this house," he said picking up the phone.

"No, Nick don't. I have to go tomorrow. There's a really important meeting and I can't miss it. Besides, I don't want to give it to the kids," I reasoned.

"Are you sure you're okay?" Will you be okay to go tomorrow?" he asked
holding my face in his hands.

"Yeah, I just need a little sleep," I sighed closing my eyes. I soon fell asleep and Nick carried me upstairs. he layed me in my bed. I woke up in the
middle of the night sweating and with Nick's arms around me.

"You're awake," he whispered in my ear and stroking my arm.

"Yeah, I'm not feeling so good," I whispered back.

"You're not going out tomorrow, you look really sick," he commented.

"I think I agree this time," I smiled slightly.

"Ali, I wan you, Kat, and Turn to move in with me," he said softly.

"If this is about the whole money thing," I started.

"No, I just want to live with you. I love you," he replied.

"Lets talk about it in the morning," I yawned rubbing my head.

"Okay feel better. I love you," he told me.

"I love you too," I said half asleep. I feel asleep soundly in Nick's big warm arms.
