Chapter 8

Brian and I had Nick try everything on and we decided on an outfit.

Brian put on some music just to listen so, but Nick decided to try and impress me by stripping. He was only playing around thought. Nick got down to his boxers before Brian stopped him.

"Okay Nick, nobody wants to see that," Brian said pushing him in the bathroom to get into his original clothes. I picked up his Armani clothes and hung them up neatly.

Nick came back out in his khakis and a navy blue unbuttoned long sleeve shirt with a white T-shirt underneath on.

"So now what?" Nick asked.

"We have rehearsal," Brian said flatly.

"Not for another two hours," Nick replied checking his watch.

"Lets go to the mall," I suggested happily. They both gave me weird looks, "Oh come on, at least show me where it is," I begged, "You could pick up easy girls," I smiled.

"She's got me there," Nick laughed.

"I'll just stay here, I have some things to do," Brian said knowing he really had nothing to do.

"Lets go!" I said jumping off the bed.

"Seeya later Bri," Nick called as we left. Nick drove us to the mall. He had the same green durango. It even smelled the same, like Gravity cologne.

We got to the mall and I started to go into Express.

"No, no, no," Nick said pulling me out of there, " I said I'd show you where the all was, not go in girly stores," he smiled.

"Quite the gentlemen you've become," I commented.

"Hey, its your choice...champs or home," he said walking away.

"Fine, champs," I said annoyed. I followed him into champs and sat down while he tried on some pants.

"Hey," a guy said to me and sitting down by me.

"Hi," I replied not really interested in talking.

"Are you here alone, because a pretty girl like you...," he trailed off.

"No, I'm not," I said uncomfortably.

"So, you wanna go out sometime?" he asked putting his hand on my leg.

"I, um, I actually," I was lost for words. How do you tell a guy to leave you alone?

"Ali!" Nick said dramatically and sitting by me, "I missed you sweety. I got the pants so we can go now," he said putting him arm around my shoulders.

"Right!" I said catching on, "Baby," I added. The guy immediately left me alone, "Thanks," I said relieved.

"Welcome, now c'mon, we still got foot locker," Nick said leaving with his bag.

"How nice," I sighed and followed him.

"How do you like these?" Nick asked picking up a pair of shoes.

"Those, are nice," I said hestitantly.

"Like them that much?" he said sarcastically and putting them back.

"I like these," I said sweetly hold up another pair.

"Nah," he replied not liking them.

"Fine, get the ugly ones," I shrugged. We looked for shoes for an hour and he found nothing.

"You're worse than a girl," I laughed as we left.

"Yeah, I know," he said embarrassed, "You wanna come to rehearsal?" he offered.

"Yeah, I need to see what I've been missing," I said looking over at him.

"You remember Chris, right?" he asked.

"Yeah, he was actually a pretty decent guy when you get to know him," I replied, "I even went out with him for a while."

"I know, remember when you caught him with another girl?" I nodded.

"Does this voice sound familiar?" he asked in a good impression of a girl.

"That was you on the phone?" I asked laughing.

"Yeah, he wasn't happy so instead of making you feel bad about it, he wanted it to seem like he was cheating," he explained.

"So, how come you never called?" I asked curious.

"After I came back from the tour, I was totally using girls and Chris said he'd beat the shit out of me if I did it to you," he said as we pulled into the venue.

"Hey," Howie called to us when we walked in.

"Yo D!" Nick yelled back.

"Hey," I said normally.

"Ali, I heard you helped Brian and Nick with," I stopped him.

"Sure," I smiled, "Just show me what ya got."

"Follow me," he said leading the way.

"So?" Brian asked Nick.

"So what?" Nick asked looking at the ground.

"How'd things go?" he asked curious and nudging him.

"She's perfect," he ground as he sat down throwing his head back.

"What happened?" Brian asked sitting by him.

"A guy was hitting on her and she didn't like it and I felt like I had to protect her. Bri, what am I gunna do? I NEED women at night, but I don't wanna push this," he explained, "She only thinks of me as a friend though."

"Well, just be friends for a while. I think she does like you, but she doesn't want to commit. I think something happened to her. Just earn her trust and move it slow,"

Brian finished as AJ and Kevin came over.

"Is Ali here?" AJ asked.

"Helpin' D with clothes," Brian said pointing to the dressing room.

"Good, that's what I need help with too," AJ said as they left.

"Maybe she should just be our stylist," Brian laughed.

"Bri!" Nick scolded, "I need help here," Nick said frustrated.

"Just get inside her mind. Don't do anything physical. That's all I can tell you," Brian finished.

"Guys! Time to work!" Fatima called all of them. The guys got on stage and I sat in the front row. They were really amazing. Their dances were phenomenal. I watched their practice and waited for a ride home.

"You guys were great," I told all of them when they were done.

"We know," AJ grinned, "Now about my clothes," he said leading me to his dressing room.

"Al, you need a ride?" Brian called to me.

"Yeah, actually I do," I replied turning around.

"Oh wait, I have an interview, maybe Nick could take you," Brian said knowing exactly what he was doing.

"Yeah, that's find," Nick shrugged, "Just hang on while I get a shower."

"Okay," I said going with AJ. I picked out his outfit and went back to meet Nick. I sat in a chair and waited for a couple minutes.
