The day of Sam's wedding had arrived and guests were arriving at Buearley House in Yarmouth. It was a beautiful spring day and the service was going to take place outside in the grounds of the house, which had a nice view of the sea.

Tasha, Lucy, Heather, Helen and Linda were inside, having their hair and make-up done. "I'm glad Marat could make it," Tasha smiled as she smoothed down her bridesmaids dress. "Although, he has to fly out tonight to be back in time for his next game,".

At that moment, Sam entered the room, wearing her wedding dress. "Wow, you look stunning!" Linda gasped.

Sam smiled. "Thanks,". Her dress was white and lacy with a long train. She had flowers in her hair under her veil.

Ben came walking in holding baby Nicole in his arms. "She needs feeding I think," he said to Heather.

Heather opened her bag and found a bottle. "Here you go," she said, handing it to Ben. "Are all the guests here yet?".

"Yeah, most of the seats are filled up now," Ben said as he left the room.

Helen sat down on a chair, feeling tired. The twins were due in a few days and she was feeling quite sick. "Pass me a bottle of water please," she asked Tasha.

Tasha handed Helen a bottle. "Hey, is that a diamond ring you're wearing?" Helen asked, seeing the huge sparkling rock on Tasha's engagement finger.

Tasha grinned. "Yeah, Marat asked me to marry him last night,".

The girls all congratulated her. "Can we be your bridesmaids at your wedding?" Sam laughed.

"Of course!".

Outside, the guest were sitting waiting for the service to start. The vicar was standing at the alter ready to begin and Russell was in position, standing beside his best man Pete.

In the first row of seats were Russell and Sam's families. Behind them sat Christian and Naomi, Sarah and Mark. Nick and Ben- holding Nicole, were also in the second row, waiting to see their girlfriend come out in their bridesmaid dresses.

A few rows back sat Sophie and Smith, Carly, Katy, Jenny, Colin, Marat... and Paul.

Paul sat in the last row all alone. He couldn't wait to see Helen, but was scared of encountering her again. He knew she would either ignore him or be cold towards him, which broke his heart.

"The pianist has cancelled because his car broke down!" Mark heard one of the organisers saying. "We're stuck! We have no-one to play the wedding march,".

Mark turned around. "I can play the piano," he announced. "I'll do it,".

The organiser smiled. "Thanks!" she said, really appreciative.

Mark got us and followed her to where a piano was standing. "Do you know how to play the wedding march?" she asked him.

"Yes," he assured her, sitting himself on the stool.

"There she is!" Pete whispered to Russell as Sam emerged from the grand doorway of the house, followed by the five girls who were holding big bunches of roses.

Mark started playing the piano as Sam made her way down the aisle to the alter to join Russell. He gazed at her lovingly, she looked so pretty.

"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today in the sight of God to join these two people in holy matrimony..." the vicar began.

The service was going well, until there was a sudden bleeping noise.

"Damn!" Paul hissed. It was his mobile going off! He quickly cancelled the call and apologised to everyone around him.

Sam couldn't help let out a laugh. She tried to concentrate on the service, but her mind was wandering. She was thinking about Pete...

Although it was only a fling, she still had feelings for him. In fact, she was starting to prefer him to Russell, the man she was marrying.

"If any person here knows of any just impediment that these two people cannot be joined in marriage, speak now or forever hold your peace," the vicar said.

Russell stood with a big smile on his face. "Still got the ring Pete?" he whispered.

At the mentioning of the name 'Pete' Sam's ears pricked up and her heart started beating fast. Then she realises that Russell had meant his friend Pete who was best man, not her Pete.

Heather stood watching, she could see the look on Sam's face and knew what she was thinking.

"Anybody?" the vicar asked, about to move onto the next part of the service.

"No!" Heather and Sam shouted at the same moment.

A gasp spread around the crowd. Everyone was in shock.

"Sorry!" Heather hissed, realising what she had done.

Russell was in the most shock. His heart sinking, she stared at Sam. "What?" he asked, tears filling his eyes.

"I can't marry you," Sam announced. "I'm sorry...".

Russell let out a sob and fled from the ceremony, followed closely by Pete who was going to make sure he was OK.

Helen had hardly noticed the drama that was going on around her. "Heather, I think the babies are coming," she breathes, dropping to the ground. Suddenly, she let out a loud cry.

Everyone went silent and looked. "Aghhh!" Helen cried in pain.

Paul jumped up and ran down the aisle. "Helen!" he exclaimed as he reached her side. He shook off his blazer and got out his phone, calling for an ambulance.

"It's OK Helen, you're gonna be just fine," he assured, putting an arm around her waist.

Helen grabbed his hand, continuing to cry out.

"Hold on, keep pushing," Heather said, kneeling down next to Helen. She knew what Helen was going through since she had experienced it herself a few days ago.

The ambulance turned up and Helen was carried into it by the ambulance crew. Paul chased after them. "I'm coming too," he yelled, jumping into the back of the ambulance. "Don't worry Helen, you're not alone. You've got me here,".

"Thank you Paul," Helen said weakly.

Paul smiled, that was the first time Helen had spoken to him nicely since the break up. "Maybe she'll take me back," he whispered to himself with a smile as Helen squeezed his hand.
