Nick awoke to the feel of Meina's hands on his chest. He pushed them off, waking Meina in the process. She only smiled wickedly. Quickly, he reached for his clothes. Meina waited, then called her guards in.
"Take him to the dungeons." She had already taken what she wanted.
"What is to be done with him?" Meina's warrior asked.
"He shall be a reminder to the U.S. of their failed attempt to divert our attention. Those tricks only work with someone as weak-minded as our Queen. Nick stared at her with a hatred even he couldn't fathom.
3 days had passed and still no sign of Feya. But Meina would get the throne with or without Feya. And then she would crush the United States into pieces.
Back home in the States, the Boys and Nick's family turned on the t.v. There was news that Cartasia, the mother country, had an announcement to make to the world at the start of the New Millennium.
It had been one year since Nick's kidnapping and they still haven't found a clue as to his whereabouts. Sometimes, they even wonder if he were still alive. Brian, Jane and Crystal refused to believe this. They didn't give up. Tonight though, they had to chip off some of their time to watch the announcements Cartasia had to make because it seemed important.
The t.v. screen suddenly revealed the face of a respectable Cartasian woman. "Good afternoon people all over our planet. I am Meina Dolores, your new and just Queen. The people of Cartasia had agreed that to kick off the New Millennium, we needed a new government, or should I say a new ruler, to settle the increasingly difficult issues that we are facing, including. . ." Meina paused and smiled " the attempted revolt by our fellow Americans." She seemed to motion a guard to bring something to her. Everyone quieted down, intrigued and shocked by Meina's words.
Finally they saw what Meina was pointing at.
"Nick!" Brian screamed in horror.
"This must be a mistake," Crystal cried out.
The others were shushing them. Everyone was speechless.
Meina continued, "This was an offering that you Americans made to us." Meina grabbed Nick under the chin and forced him in front of the camera. The way she treated Nick angered them all. "Who does she think she is?" Howie yelled, exasperated.
Meina continued, "A failed attempt, Mr. President of the U.S."
All the Boys and Jane stared in shock as they realized who kidnapped Nick. Their blood seethed from anger. Then Meina kicked Nick behind the calves and he fell to his knees. The guards began to whip him hard and the blood trickled down his back. His eyes were lackluster, revealing defeat.
"Nicky!" Jane cried. Kevin was too pained to watch while AJ cursed under his breath, ready to rip off Meina's head. Nick yelped a little from the pain, but tried to keep it in.
' Nick, say something. Don't keep it in.' Crystal screamed in her mind.
Meina once again resumed her speech. "This is not a threat, my fellow Americans. It is a declaration of war. She raised her laser gun and pointed at Nick. Everyone just stared in horror. The screen then went blank and Brian ran up to it, pounding on it furiously.
