Brian and I were sitting in the living room of my new house. Bailey was making dinner. It had been almost a month since the miscarriage. But Bailey and I still were a little uneasy around each other. She was beginning to think that I only married her for the baby. I was beginning to believe that myself. For a month I kept as busy as I could, and we never ate together, some of our friends or family would always be there.

"Nick, Brian, dinner is almost done." Bailey said slipping her head into the doorway.

I nodded and continued watching my show. I heard Bailey sigh and leave the room. Brian took the remote and turned off the TV hastily. "Nick, give it up man." He stood up I was confused. Why was he acting this way?

"What?" I asked.

Brian rolled his eyes. "Bailey's miscarriage happened a month ago. It's time to move on. Make new children."

I knew he was right, but I wasn't giving up without a fight. I stood up and opened my mouth, but Brian never let the words come out.

"No Nick, don't try to win. You know she made your life so much better. With Clarissa, all you thought about was business and how you had to make her happy. But with Bailey, it's different. You have fun."

I closed my mouth. "Now, I'm leaving Nick. At least try." I watched in awe as Brian left my house.

Bailey came in wiping her hands on an apron. I should try I thought.

"Brian leave?" she asked.

" Yeah, I kind of asked him to."

Bailey looked at me, "Did you two have an argument?" she asked.

I smiled "No. I just wanted to be alone with my wife."

Bailey looked at me bewildered. I walked closer, but stopped short before I made it to her. I smiled again, this was the right thing to do. I began walking towards her, I wrapped my arms around her middle and kissed her. "I love you." I whispered.

"You do?" Bailey's eyes were large.

I chuckled. "Yes I do. I know I haven't said it much..."

Bailey backed up and smiled. "Try a month and a half."

I laughed. I took her hands. "Come on." I tugged her to the stairs.

"What about dinner."

I smiled and tugged her up into our room.

An hour later...

I lay silently next to Bailey. Caressing her stomach. "Honey, I think we should try for another baby." I said.

She smiled. "I think so to." I kissed her nose.

"Bailey, you have changed my life in so many ways." I said taking her hand.

"How so?"

"You have made me see I can be so much more than a singer, I can be a husband, a father, a friend, and almost anything I can think of."

This time she kissed me. She laid her head on my bare shoulder and closed her eyes.

"Did I tire you out?" I joked.

She slapped me playfully. "You wish."
